Vehicle Detail
We call the car "Jerry" after its original owner in Florida. Garaged there for over twenty years until I bought it from my business partner's family and drove it to TN. It has been garaged here for three years. 125,000 original miles. I have the service papers from original owner going back about 15 years. He babied the car since his father bought it when new in 1966.. This is a drivers car, not a show car. It is registered as an 'antique auto' with TN and has antique license plate. There is also a front plate that says "1966 Caddy" We take our friends out on weekends and get plenty of stares at this 19 ft. long beauty. We have had lots of fun, but we need our garage back!! Damage worth mentioning: there is some rust around rear window and lower rear trunk lid. The back bumper and an area near license plate has had a dent but that is 'character' to us. I have tried to give you a close up picture because this is the worst of the body area. Most of the car body is in great shape and the paint is glossy and shines. There is some pitting on the massive chrome that is around the car, You will see some chrome work has been done on the original engine - of course, worn out parts over the years have been replaced. The power windows, seats and A/C work. I put new tires on it (less than 2000 miles on those tires now) and had the car completely checked over before I purchased it and drove it 800 crusin' miles without any problems back to TN. I have driven it less than 500 miles in the three years I have owned it. Car is garaged in Hendersonville, TN about 25 miles outside of Nashville. If you are serious, we can arrange a convenient location for delivery or I could bring the car to Nashville (or pick you up in Jerry at the airport) if desired. The price is reasonable for a running 66 Caddy! I would be happy to try and answer questions in advance and don't want to waste your time any more than I want my time wasted. Thanks for your interest and we hope Jerry will find a new home and you will have as much fun owning it as we have!Added 4/7/11: 33 additional pictures may be found at http://gallery.me.com/gposner#100188
