Vehicle Detail
This 2003 Honda Civic EX is being placed to sell by its one and only owner. This car was purchased from Hanover Honda, Hanover, PA , after I graduated from college, and everyday I look at it it is a reminder of certain time and place in my life. The car was not just a means of getting from point A to point B, but a reward for the weekends spent working and studying to achieve my educational goal. In this car was a first date with my future wife and mother of my daughter. Needless to say I have taken excellent care of this car and am hoping to find someone else that is committed to doing the same. The car has been reduced to third car status over the past few years and since I changed jobs and no longer have a commute, there is no need to keep this gas friendly vehicle sitting idle in my driveway. The car has been gently driven and all parts are original except for the driver side rear view mirror that was dinged up while backing out of my garage a few years back. I have the maintenance records from oil changes/servicing/routine maintenance items. I kept a detailed excel report of when and what was done to the car. Otherwise only tires and brakes have been changed as part of routine maintenance. Because I have taken good care of this vehicle it has rewarded me in return. The car has never had a mechanical problem and it was consistsmaintence items. I kept a detailed excel report of when and what was done to the car. Otherwise only tires and brakes have been changed as part of routine maintenance. Because I have taken good care of this vehicle it has rewarded me in return. The car has never had a mechanical problem and it was consistly driven on multiple-hour trips. I used to be neurotic on washing and cleaning this civic, until I moved to the mountains and it was just impossible to keep it pristine all the time. The dent on the front came from a rock when I parked my vehicle to go hiking at the Appalacian Trial at the Delaware Water Gap. I intened to fix it but after the baby arrived I just never got around to it. I live in the Poconos and the brutal winters have (amazingly) only left one minor rust mark (no rust on wheels); however, the acorns have been pretty hard on the exterior the two past falls and have left miniscule dings. The dings are hard to notice, but they are there. I have pictures of the exterior blemishes. Like I said, living in the mountains has made it tough to keep the car in immaculate shape on the exterior; however, the interior is nearly perfect. The interior has no tears, is smoke free and has a little fading in the exterior head rests (a purplish black color I suppose). The back seats have only been used a handful of times and the passenger seat has minimal wear. The driver's side is still in excellent shape because I lift my hind end up from the seat to avoid wearing the edge of the seat down. All seat belts work. There are some visible scratches around the key entry slot. The manual shift has some wear at the metal ring part, but I believe this is fairly common. Perhaps my favorite part is the sunroof; open it up and let the fresh air in. I also have the owner's manual and the original Honda issued cleaning products (as pictured). The car does well on gas, especially if you use the cruise control feature. Additonal info: The rear tires were replaced on 5/20/2010 @107541 miles. The front tires were replaced on 5/21/2010 @98549miles. I can email you a listing of my maintence records if you wish. Paypal accepted and I am asking a 200 dollar deposit within 72 hours of auction ending. Overall this car is a great value and can easily reach 300k if the next owner maintains the same care and commitment as I have. I'm hoping to use the proceeds of this sale to paydown my student loan. I have the all purchase paperwork, maintenance records, keylock, and two key/keyless systems as well. The Honda cleaning supplies are unopened 2. I own the outright and have the title in my possession 7. MPG is about 29 city and 40 highway. The manual shift and cruise optimize gas efficiency. I filled it up a few weeks ago for less than 40 bucks 8. Vtec engine still has pop 9. The sunroof/moonroof does not leak. The wheel wells are lined with plastic trim. 10. The car's oil was routinely changed between around 3,000 miles. Most were performed by me; it's relatively easy if you're able bodied. I waxed it twice a year; the interior and vinyl exterior was amoralled to prevent fading and cracking - and it has. 9. You will not find a better cared for 2003 EX
