Vehicle Detail

1937 Dodge five window coupe. This is an really nice, straight, car with no body rot what so ever. it is in amazing shape for a car that is over 70 years old. Floors are good, trunk floor is good. All glass is there and good except for the driver's door glass that is cracked. Tires are good and look like they have at least 85% + tread. Not the original rims or hub caps. The interior was redone in the 70's and it looks dated. It is not in bad shape and can be used as is. The rubber seal around the front window has dried out and cracked and will need to be replaced. The car starts, runs, drives, and stops. I drove it around on a 3 gallon gas can because I felt that the gas tank should be cleaned before it is used. The car has been in storage in California for the last 13+ years. There were two places where the body had some small bubbles under the paint. That was behind both doors, low on the quarter panel. Both of those areas were cut out, had new metal welded in, finished, and then primered. The rubber covering on the running boards dried out and cracked so we took all of it off, cleaned, and primered the running boards. They are ready for new rubber to be installed. You can see both of them in the pictures. There are some minor dents and dings, along with some areas where the sun has baked the paint off. Minor surface rust in some places. In one picture you can see some rust around the rear bumper bracket. Personally I would clean it up, tune it up, and drive it just like it is. Please ask any questions before you bid. On Apr-11-11 at 07:57:23 PDT, seller added the following information: The fuel pump has been cleaned and the original gas tank has been boiled out. The fuel system is ready to go now. All of the brakes have been redone. I think it still should have a new master cylinder installed. New points and plugs.
