Vehicle Detail
This is one of the most unique VW Vans you will ever see. It is not in mint condition, or the asking price would be triple what it is, but is it in good condition and is not that far from being a museum quality vehicle. If you are a "low baller", fuggettaboutit - we do not "need" to sell this vehicle, and I can promise you that no one will be "stealing" this baby from us. We have owned this vehicle for about a two years and have had it parked it in our parking lot to attract attention to our business (SHORTY'S PIZZA). We have not driven it very much at all. It is a real head turner/traffic stopper, and everyone who sees it wants a picture of it. It runs fine and we have had it up to about 60 on the highway - it was a little shakey, but once again, it is 40 years old. The interior is in great condition, but a new dash consul was installed and the guages do not work. The lights work and the indicators work, and the horn works, but the guages do not. The CD player has been stolen from the vehicle - one of the doors does not lock. Good tires and gangsta rims. Great paint job, but it is now showing a couple of rust spots as a result of standing in the parking lot for a long period of time. There is also a crack in the roof finish which is undoubtably the result of a couple of years sitting in the georgia sun. We have always had difficulty with the first gear on this van - we often think we are in first but we find we are in third when we drop the clutch - the van starts fine in 3rd gear. There is a small scrape under the drivers side door. We would love to see this baby go to a good home where it gets the attention that it deserves.
