Vehicle Detail
1991 Toyota MR2, 5 speed, hard to find hardtop. I purchased this car here on ebay from a member in Arizona about 2 years ago. I was told by the seller that the car belonged to his friend and that it had sat for a while, but that it was in running condition before it was parked. The only thing I have done to the car is to clean the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump. I got the engine to turn but it won't start but there is no spark. The ignition rotor is turning, so i don't think it's a timing belt issue. I am guessing it may be an electronic or ignition related issue but I just have the time to mess with it anymore due to other projects and lack of interest. I do have the clear Arizona title to the car but never transferred it into my name. The body is rust free and straight but the paint is really faded. As you can also tell, the interior was stripped by the previous owner, I was told that he was going to make it into a track car, the intrument cluster is there, as well as the necessary switches to operate the basics. I never got the key to the car, the previous owner removed the ignition key switch feature and he placed a race car looking turning lever to crank the engine, so I have left the car unlocked but a key could easily be made by removing the door lock due to easy access. Everything in the engine bay seems to be all there. It also has manual windows and locks which is a rare option. It's a shame the car's interior ended up being gutted before it got to me but it could always be put back together, which was my original plan. This car is being sold as is since I never got it to run and I just don't know its running condition. I can hold the car for up to three weeks keeping in mind that the car needs to be fully paid for as per auction's terms. I can assist if the buyer wants the car shipped as long as it gets picked up at its current location and that the buyer makes his own shipping arrangements and pays for the whole shipping charges. If buyer prefers to tow it, I would recommend bringing at least two extra tires for the rolling wheels because the tires on the car are dry cracked and I do't think it would make it too far with its current tires. Please no 0 or negative feedback bidders, sorry. Will require an immediate non refundable deposit to get the transaction going. Thank you.
