Vehicle Detail
I will be out of town next week, and have revised the payment terms accordingly. Winner will have 10 days to arrange pickup and payment. Very clean low-mileage 9-5. Smooth and quiet. Perfect mechanical condition. Not perfect, but very good cosmetic condition for an 11 year old car. SE trim includes beautiful Harman Kardon audio system, premium leather interior, front seats with heat and forced-air ventilation, rear seats with heat, dual-zone automatic climate control. Saab purists may not appreciate the GM-derived V6 engine. However, it is a fact that this engine is not susceptible to the sludge problems and early failure that routinely plague the '99-'02 4-cylinder turbo engines, especially when coupled with an automatic transmission and the typical 10k+ mile oil change intervals. Trunk is enormous, and the rear seats fold also. The result is cargo utility that is unmatched by the majority of contemporary luxury sedans. Safety is second to none. Side airbags were standard, and the 9-5 was one of the first vehicles to undergo the IIHS pole test (side impact). I have complete service/maintenance records from the previous owner, starting on 8/15/2003 and 46k miles. The car would have been under factory warranty until then. All the service items common to the V6 9-5 models have been addressed, including engine oil cooler, radiator, DI cassettes, cabin fan, timing belt and pulleys (77k, next change due at 136k), and even head gaskets. Preventatively replaced items include HVAC flap arms/levers, water pump, serpentine belt, crank position sensor, heater bypass valve, seals, gaskets, etc.. Recently installed new e-code headlight lenses. New premium floor mats from GG Bailey custom made to match the interior of the car. I have a Tech 2 and would be happy to customize HVAC, security, and other settings to suit the new owner. I am not a car dealer who makes a living from flipping any make/model of car without knowing much about them. I am a genuine Saab enthusiast, and know my way around Saabs better than anyone you're likely to ever meet. This 9-5 has served my family well for almost a year, but as the driveway gets more and more crowded (with various other Saabs!), the time has come for someone else to enjoy this one.
