I am relisting this motorcycle due to poor pictures in the original listing which did not show how nice this bike truly is-I could not change the pictures in the original listing as ebay would not allow me to do so since it had bids. here for auction 1983 Honda CR 480R. This vintage motocross beast has many new parts.New DG pipe and silencer,new front fork seals,new front chain slider,new grips,levers,seat cover,chain,air cleaner,and front tire(Dunlop 756).The engine was just totally disassembled and inspected.The engine is still on the original std bore(has NOT been sleeved).The piston,piston rings,rod and crank bearings were all within Honda specs so the engine was reassembled with new gaskets and seals.All the transmission gears and their dogs and shift forks were excellent.The clutch basket and plates were all also in great condition.So obviously this bike has not been rode alot.It runs excellent,shifts and clutches as it should.All the original bolts were cleaned and polished-the hardware and bolts on this bike are 98% original.Ive posted lots of pictures to show the current condition of this bike-the entire motorcycle was stripped down to the bare frame this winter and cleaned and painted. The wheels run true,the spokes and rims are all in good condition.The wheel bearings,sprockets,brakes and all suspension bearings are in good condition.Forks were disassembled,cleaned,inspected,seals replaced and new oil added.The rear shock has good dampening and the rebound and compression adjusters work as they should. Tried to show in pictures the following faults in the plastic.The front number plate has a 1&1/2 inch long crack in the top corner as seen in picture.The left rear number plate has a 1 inch long crack on its rear edge above the muffler as seen in picture.The gas tank has a scrape in the left side. The rear tire is a Kenda that ill leave to the new owner to install a tire of thier preference. There is NO TITLE.i never recieved on when i bought it so i can only give a bill of sale. Shipping is up to the buyer and all bidders to figure themselves.I can deliver to a shipper but prefer not to be involved with crating the motorcycle.I could also meet the buyer in a near by major city such as Kansas City ,St.Louis, or Springfield,Missouri for a fee.
