1983 Honda Nighthawk

Honda 1983 CB450SC Nighthawk Project (?) Bike. This bike runs, All of the electrics work, Brakes work, Engine starts easily. The Ignition Key lock was replaced and 2 new keys provided. The Gas Cap and Helmet lock work with the original key provided. Included is the one inch thick Factory Honda manual #61MC002 for the 1982-1983 CB/CM450's including addendums for the SC model. Some of the Side cover mounting ears have been repaired with epoxy. The Exhaust system is of Honda original parts from 3 Ebay purchases - essentially rust free but some pipe scratches and discoloration will be seen on head pipes. The battery was purchased new November 2010. Actual milage is unknown as the original speedometer was broken and this is a replacement. The Bike has been repainted Blue from it's original Red. Please look at the list of changes made and work done to bring it on line: 1-New Handlebars 2-New Clutch Lever 3-New Brake Lever 4-New Seat Cover 5-Rebuilt Front Brake Caliper 6-New Honda Front Brake reservoir 7-Rebuilt master cylinder 8-New rear Brake 9-Cleaned /Rebuilt carbs with kits 10-New front and rear Tires 11-Balanced and adjusted carbs 12-Exhaust is basically rust free with some discoloration and scratches 13-New Exhaust System gaskets throughout 14-Oil has been changed 15-New Battery 16-Honda Factory Maintenance Manual for 82-83 450 17-Front forks have been disassembled, cleaned,inspected; replaced (New) Seals and Boots 18-New Fork Oil 19-New Tachometer cable 20-All Lights work 21-Alternator works 22-New rear drive chain 23-New choke cable 24-Buy both Parts Bikes for $1 total above final bid if desired. Problems: The tank has some dents and a small seeping pinhole was found, during the picture taking, in the left rear base of the tank not dripping but a little wet – this could be solved with a tank cleaning and sealing liner treatment like Kreem or Por-15 (@ about $40 plus labor) also No air filter element is in the Honda air cleaner box. Two(2) Honda CB450 parts bikes are also available for one dollar total additional to the high bidder if desired - this allows the 1983 Bike purchase without the parts bike spares if desired . The pictures show the two CB450 engines with starters and carbs – one carb set is for parts only - various parts including control cables, a wiring harness, one Nighthawk CB-450 SC Frame - WITHOUT TITLE. I believe I can get a bill of sale for that frame as “Parts” from the Bike shop where I bought it if needed. Both engines and spare parts are - as is - engines not started but they did spin over using their starters. I have tried to accurately describe the Bike, what has been done, problems as I see them - BUT - the sale is “As is”. This Bike is my Hobby interest, I am not a dealer or doing the work as an investment. I have owned it for about 3 years and ridden it several times in MY YARD but not on the street. Arthritis in my wrists is the final cause of this sale.
