Up for auction is this 1949 Chevrolet longbox pickup. This is going to be one nice ride when completed. I have a clear Nebraska title for it. The truck sits on a 2001 chevy 1/2 ton frame. The frame has been professionally shortened to match the 49 wheelbase. The engine has been moved back 6 or so inches. The engine is a fuel injected 5.3 liter with only 35,000 original miles on it, same with the automatic transmission, transfer case, front and rear ends. The frame has new mounts welded on to bolt the box on. The cab mounts are made and the front mounts need finished welded to the frame. Everything that has been done on this frame has been done to a very high meticulous standards. Almost everthing is there to put it back for a running 2001 chevy, wire harness, gas and brake lines, drive shaft, exhaust, gas tank, antilock brakes, receiver hitch, ect, ect. The rims are off of a 2004 GMC with like new tires. Has the 6 way electric, leather buckets seats out of the 2001 with integrated seat beats. Now for the body. This truck is from western Nebraska where we don't see much rust. This is a rust free body. I just assembled the body temporary to show what it will look like and to take pictures, then took it apart, other than the cab is bolted to the frame. All the sheet metal will be easy to get ready for paint with slight dings and dents. The entire box, other than the rear fenders, is all brand new sheetmetal. Right and left box sides, front panel, tailgate, cross sills, and rear sill. Has brand new oak flooring with polished stainless steel strips and bolt kit. The truck has a brand new chrome grille. I have receipts for $3480.00 for mostly body parts. These receipts don't include the 2001 chevy chassis and drivetrain and wheels. I bought this truck and since have decided I have too many projects. I started working on a hotrod and need money for it. The hard work and planning on this truck is done, now just needs finished. $400.00 paypal deposit at auction end, and the rest in cash when picked up. It will need to be trailered with a pickup to haul all the extra parts in. IT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE A TRANSPORT PICK IT UP.
