Vehicle Detail

1984 FORD MUSTANG SVO This car is restorable driveable car. However, it is in good shape for a 27 year old car. I do not have time to drive this car or to restore it. That is why I am selling it. It is a slapper bar car. The car is Black with grey leather interior and a sunroof. All original parts are with the car except the hard to find rocker trim. I do have 2 of the 6 pieces (I think). Personally, I think the trim is ugly anyways and it would be left off if I were to repaint it. Also included is a cover for the car. I have a 3" binder with records going back to the early 90's. Lots of reciepts and database records. I have an abundant amount of extra parts that will be included with the car. I also have an lot of parts (shown in the 4 pictures below) that are included with the car. Some of the Spare Parts included with the car: Sunroof Parts(2) Original SVO HornpadsOriginal SVO Steering Wheel79-86 LX Gauge BezelSVO Flocked Gauge and Dash BezelOriginal SVO Hurst Shifter and Shifter Knob86 SVO Right Taillight LensCooling Fan AssemblyRadiator Overflow Reservoir(3) Marchal Fog LampsCode ReaderTiming CoverTurbo Outlet ElbowCrossmember BushingsTransmission MountWeatherStrippingOriginal SVO Stereo(2) Spare Sunroof HandlesSVO Amplifier SwitchHeadlight Switch KnobKONI Shock Adjustment Knob (2) Haynes Repair Manuals(3) Cans of Charcoal SVPU (SVO color) Interior Spray(2) Interior Door Handles 3rd Gen Registry info: Build date: November 4, 1983 This car was 102nd SVO out of 110 SVOs built on that day. This car was the 933rd SVO built out of 4,507 SVO's built in the 1984 model year. This car is one of 1,446 built in the color black in 1984. This car is one of 2,992 SVOs with Cloth built in 1984. Of the 2,992 SVOs built in Cloth, 968 were built in black. So, this car is one 968. Note: This car decodes as a cloth car. However, it has has leather in it. Previous owner told me that it had leather in it before he put the leather in. My assumption is that the leather was dealer added. The body: The car was repainted in 1995 and the pain is okay. There are 2 or 3 spots on the hood where leaves were laying on the car when it rained and apparently layed on the car for a period of time long enough to cause a slight leaf mark. The car was wrecked in the early 1990s says carfax. There is bondo in the passenger side quarter panel above the wheel well. It is filled well and is only noticeable up close. There is also a dime sized dent on the driver's side fender. The car also has subframe connectors installed on it. The interior: The interior of the car is in good shape. The carpet was replaced by the previous owner. The leather was also replaced by the previous owner with "SVO Style" reproduction leather from E & G Classics. The leather patterns are no longer produced. The interior has some GT and LX dash parts as well as an aftermarket steering wheel and shifter knob. All of the original parts are still with the car, but are in need of restoration. I replaced the heater core and while I had the dash out, I repainted the dash and several other components. The drivetrain: The car has 189,000 miles on it and I only put about 7 thousand on it in the 6 years that I have owned the car. I do drive it at least once per month to keep it fresh. The engine runs well, but it does use some oil. It also has an oil leak which I believe to be a product of the cheap Advanced Auto valve cover gasket I installed. There is some oil that leaks from the valve seals while it is sitting. It sometimes doesn't run well right off of the bat when cold cranked, but after 20 or 30 seconds (after the oil that has leaked into the the intake and combustion chamber burns out) it runs fine. Most of the time it runs fine on cold cranking. To my knowledge, the engine or any of the drivetrain has never been rebuilt. I checked compression on the engine recently and it was 130 - 135 psi in all cylinders. It's in really good shape for the mileage. There are no abnormal noises and it runs well. The boost gauge does not show that it is hitting full boost. I'm not sure if the gauge is bad or that it really isn't hitting full boost. An aftermarket boost gauge or boost control module should tell the story or fix the problem. The wheels and tires: The original SVO wheels are on the car. The front wheels are warped I believe. Occasionally, I can feel it when the wheels are synced up correctly. It is very rare though. I haven't checked about getting them straightened, but it should be feasible. The tires on the car are also fairly old. Not sure exactly how old, but it is need of replacements. This is a good car that has been well cared for and I would like to see it go to a good home. The car is also for sale locally. Therefore, the seller reserves the right to remove listing before the end of the auction. T The
