Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1999 Ford Econoline (2500) van Vin# 1FTPE24L8XHA98741. This van was purchased by my construction company new in 1999 from Currie Motors Ford (Frankfort, IL.) and has been serviced on a regular basis since the time of purchase. It is mechanically a very sound vehicle and has never been involved in an accident. There is some rust and dings on the vehicle, most of which has been sanded down and touched up as are apparent in the pictures. It has passed its latest emission test as of August 2010 and has been driven very little since then. The engine is a V8-330 5,4L SOHC, the transmission and brakes are fine, the tires have 40-50% life left and are Goodyear Discover ATR LT 265/75R16. The van also has three ladder racks (seen in picture of back door open) that were removed in order to sand, prime, and repaint the rust they caused. The van has AC and it works great. Now here is what’s wrong with this vehicle—The radio/cassette no longer works, the button on the gearshift for the overdrive has been replaced but still does not work, the side (sliding door) latch needs to be replaced, it can be opened from the inside only, and the mechanic has said “in the near future it should have the ball joints replaced. In the process of cleaning the vehicle I took it to the local car wash 3/10/11 before taking the pictures and the passenger side mirror was broken there, the same day I ordered a replacement mirror which will be included with the sale of the van. I have many receipts for service and maintenance over the years that will come along with the van, one of the more recent is $1,310.17 from 11/13/10 for brakes and a few other things and the odometer was at 109,263. The battery was also replaced on 3/9/11 cost $129.29 and has a 3 year warranty. I believe this to be as I said above a very reliable vehicle and one that can be put to work immediately without any extra costs involved. If you would like to see and drive the van before placing a bid, I would be happy to accommodate any requests. Please email me through Ebay and leave a phone number and a good time to call and I will be glad to accommodate all. After looking at pictures since posted I forgot to say two things: 1- The seats are in rough condition thus the new seat covers. 2- both front doors have at one time or another been blown open by the wind so they are dinged and do make noise when opening and closing. The workers who used to drive this van liked music playing while working thus the doors, radio, and battery!!!!!
