READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE YOU BID Being offered is a beautiful two owner 1988 IROC Z28 convertible with only 82,350 original miles. This car had 63,177 miles when I purchased it January 17, 1995 and has been garage kept since then and never been driven in rain, snow or any bad weather and well maintained. Only 3,761 convertible IROC's were produced in 1988. Here is a chance to own a convertible IROC that needs nothing and is ready to be enjoyed for many years to come. This car offers the following: Power train: This IROC has its original 5.0 L tune port engine that runs great. The car doesn't smoke or use oil. It has recently been tuned up and serviced and a new mass air flow sensor and coolant temperature sensor installed. Oil has been changed approximately every 3,000 miles since I have owned it. The original 700R4 transmission has just had the transmission filter and fluid changed and shifts perfectly. The rear gear is a 3.73 posi and the gear oil has been recently changed also. This car needs nothing mechanically, and also retains the original stock exhaust system. Exterior: I can't say the paint is flawless, but it is in above average condition for its age and has never been involved in any accidents since I have owned it. The car has had one repaint in July of 1997. The paint is still slick and shows mirror like reflections as can be seen in the pictures. Paint does have a small spot on the passenger side quarter and the typical small rock chips in lower front bumper. Overall paint and body are very nice and on a scale of 1-10 I would rate it at 8 to 8.5. Remember nothing is perfect. The convertible top is original and in above average condition also and the back plastic window is clear but starting to show its age. The IROC rolls on a brand new set of P245/50R16 radials and original IROC 16" rims. Interior: The interior of this IROC is very clean and original except for the Grant steering wheel. The dash pad is in great condition and shows very little wear from the years. No cracks. All gauges, lights, power windows, mirrors, seats, trunk, wipers and cruise work as they should. A/C is still R-12 freon and still blew cold last summer. The original AM/FM cassette is still there and works perfectly. I made the mistake of storing this IROC in 2006 and only cranked it up once or twice a month and that led to the fuel in the gas tank emulsifying and clogging up the fuel pump. So I have had a new fuel pump and sending unit installed and the gas tank cleaned out, new front Wagner pads and rotors turned, new Exide battery and serpentine belt. See receipt for all I have done. The only reason for selling is I have too many projects and play toys and this is too nice of a vehicle to just keep in storage and drive every now and then, so I want to let someone else enjoy it as I have for the 14 years I have owned it.
