Vehicle Detail
We are selling our 1968 Chevy Chevelle SS. This is an almost finished project but due to financial status we have had to decide to sell our projects. We bought it from a young man that put a new engine in. Just on the small block engine and components he spent over $6000.00. The engine has about 150 miles on it and runs great. When we bought the car he handed us a long detail list of the parts and work that was done to the car and unfortunately we lost the list and his contact info. My mechanic told us that it also has a racing transmission. The differential has 12 bolts with one of them at the top broken off. We spent $3,200 on the body and paint of the car. The gentleman did a good job on the body work but a fair job on the actual painting of the car. The whole interior needs to be done. We had plans to upholster these sports seats with a beautiful olive leather. We will include the quality leather ( enough to do the front seats, rear bench seat and door panels. ). The leather has fish like smell from being in storage that needs to be treated. The Chevelle is pretty solid with some very minor rust. I took lots of photo so you can see that you are looking at a solid car. We are including these Budnick rims that were worth $3300 new. My husband bought them used for $1,300. There are many new parts including front and rear bumpers, all the rubbers, grill, motor brackets, front and rear wheel wells..... This would be a perfect car for someone wanting to finish this beautiful car. The car was painted 2 years ago so the paint has some light nicks and there are a couple dings. The hood needs to be adjusted and is missing the latch bracket. The front grill and bumpers were placed momentarily for the photos and then removed. I took lots of photos to let them speak for themselves. So we are starting the bid low with no reserve and the lucky winner gets the car. I know we are going in for a loss but we need the money right now and we cannot continue to invest any longer. Everything in the photos is included in the sale. Locals are very welcome to come by. Good luck with the auction :) . On Mar-21-11 at 10:20:00 PDT, seller added the following information: JUST LETTING EVERYONE KNOW THAT THE MOTOR IS A CHEVY 400 SMALL BLOCK ENGINE CODE 3951509.
