Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a Suzuki T20, 247 cc motorcycle for parts or hopefully a restoration. I believe it’s a Hustler as it states on the decals and from what I’ve read on the internet and I'm not exactly sure what year it is but they made it for a very limited time. The tag on the frame reads T20 as does the matching engine numbers but the only thing I know about the Hustler was that it was a T20 with decals and low riding mufflers so please tell me if I’m incorrect for I want to provide the most honest description I can. I’ve owned this for about 10+ years and have never gotten anything done with it so I’d like to pass it to someone who could get it going again, for I really hate to part it out unless it’s totally necessary. I do not have a title but can provide a bill of sale. I bought it at an auction along with several other items. Supposedly it ran fine but someone ran it into something and bent one or both of the fork leg tubes. As far as I can tell the front wheel is not bent nor are the handle bars or triple trees. The headlight/speedo is not broken or tweaked either. The front fender is perfect except for where the front tip is somewhat flattened out. When you hold the handlebars straight forward you can tell the front wheel turns to one side rather than straight on. Supposedly it was parked and the battery was removed as you can see the connections are hanging outside the battery box cover. They failed to drain the gas out of the dent free tank so it’s still sloshing around (I will drain it) and the engine is now stuck. That’s all I know as far as it operating but I will try to list some highlights/lowlights: · Mufflers appear to be perfectly straight and the chrome is still very nice · Front and rear rims still have good chrome · Suzuki gas cap is in great shape · Gas tank and chrome sides are dent free – inside will need to be cleaned – outside rubbers are still good · Headlight/speedo/tach is in super shape with original key that works well! · Front fork lock works well with key · Petcock on tank works freely · Carbs are complete with cables and covers along with elbows and air box with filter · Engine, although stuck, is in great shape with no broken fins or other damaged areas · Engine side cases are in great shape and would polish up nicely · Chain guard is straight with good chrome · Kicker, shifter and rear brake are all straight with good chrome and original rubbers · Handlebar chrome appears to be good but not sure what might be under mirror brackets · Aluminum levers are good as is the throttle assembly · Oil tank and battery side cover are dent and rust free · Air cleaner box and battery tray are all there · Front fender is good except for front tip is flattened · Rear fender is tweaked and the rear grab handle has pushed down and dented top of fender · Rear grab handle is straight but will need rechroming – nice accessory · Rear tail lens is broke · Rear tire is shot and no longer holds air · Front tire is old but holds air · Battery leads are complete with original connectors · Triple tree will polish up – stem adjuster is in good shape · Wheel brake hubs would polish up nicely I’ve put a very fair reserve on this bike, especially after seeing others sell. I know it would bring more parting it out but I’d really like to see someone bring it back to life! I won’t be able to ship it but I can hold it for up to 3 months. I reside in a suburb of Kansas City, MO and I might be able to haul it to several nearby states for a modest fee since I have a friend who is a salesman who travels to about 8 nearby states. Write me an email with your location beforehand and we can see what type of arrangements we might work out. It will need to be paid for within 7 days after the auction closes. Please write me an email if you have any questions. I’ll try to give you the best description I can. Again, it doesn’t run and it doesn’t look anything like the one Jay Leno has but it does have a lot of useable parts and it could be a great project. This was quite a bike back in its day. Thanks for your interest! Payment: Deposit of US $100.00 within 48 hours of auction close. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close. Shipping: Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping quotes from 64064 zip code. See description below for more shipping info.
