Vehicle Detail

I built this jeep back in 2003 to use at Paragon and Raush Creek to rock climb and that it did. It even made it to the cover of Quadratec's catalog in the summer of 2003. It has a clear title in my name. The following are the specs of the build. Front axle: Detroit locker, 4:56 gears, Warn cromoly heavy duty axle shafts with a set of spare shafts of the same, Warn hub conversion (the best one you can get), and sway bar disconnects. Rear axle: Detroit locker, 4:56 gears, and one piece heavy shafts. Rest of drivetrain: 258 engine with header and weber carb, T176 transmission, Dana 300 with Terra Low 4:1 kit and twin stick shifter Suspension: 4" Superlift with 1-1/2" shackle lift Wheels: 35"x12.50" Goodyear MTR's with a spare that has never touched the ground on Aluminum Baja II's which are 10" wide I spent somewhere around 10k on this jeep not counting the purchase price. I could probably part it out and get more but would like to see if anyone would like it whole first. It has been sitting for the last 3 years so the gas tank would need to be drained. Currently have the line run to a bottle of gas. Runs good but has a hard time at idle probably just needs some cleaning. The clutch pedal linkage is broke but will start in gear and move around the yard, just can't take it for a test drive or at least not on the road. It has a bikini top and soft 2 piece doors. The seats are best top and rear seat is original. It does have some rust and rock rash. The jeep would need the clutch linkage put back on and gas tank drained to make it trail worthy again. I just want to make it clear that even though this jeep does have a clear title in my name it is not really a street vehicle. I did drive it around on weekends but it's not the safest thing in the world. Now if you are looking for a trail rig for climbing the rocks than you are set up and just about ready to go. I also have a boat load of extra parts to go with this such as an extra T-case, axles, drive shafts, grill, High Lift jack, T-18 transmissions x2 out of a Ford truck and what ever else I can locate in the garage. The pictures that were taken of the jeep off road was at Raush Creek off road park in PA in 2006. The other pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago.On Mar-20-11 at 05:38:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had questions on a few things so I will respond here as best I can. To make this jeep street legal again you will need the following at the very least. New seat belts, wiper blades, light switch (frozen), windshield (crack), shocks, sway bar connected, larger fender flares, nuetral saftey switch, right rear tail light reinstalled (included), aluminum diamond plate corners to cover rust hole on driver side, gas tank drained, carb cleaned, maybe new rubber (belts and hoses), clutch linkage fixed, and maybe a few other things. To get this back on the trail you will need much less. Probably just the clutch linkage, tank drained, and carb cleaned. Like I said the jeep is just about ready to be put back on the trail but you would need a bit more work to get it thru inspection. The frame does not appear to have any rust thru but does have rust on it. 6 years ago I scraped and sanded the frame and applied POR15 on it. The body work and paint on the jeep were done in 2001 by a professional welder. The flat body panels were cut out and replaced with stainless steel. This includes the rear floors which are in good shape. The connection between the stainless and the original curver part of the tub is where the major rust is located. The windshiled frame is rusty and could use replacing if you will be putting this back on the road. Again if it's gonna be a trail rig I wouldn't worry about it. The front floors do have holes and would need patch panels or leave be if left as a trail rig. Some of the other parts I have if the winner wants them are a 304 engine, model 20 tcase, drive shafts some for this some not, front and rear axles that I think are narrow track (scrap maybe), maybe another set of one piece axles for spares. If anyone wants more pictures of certain areas just ask.
