Vehicle Detail
I bought this bike at an estate aution, Got to talk to the owner and he said the bike ran great years ago, He said he tried to store it right and started every week for years, but then time got away from him and it turned into every month...for the last few years , he would kick the bike over every month. Very honest gentleman, he is a CPA in our town...very well respected. I will add details tomorrow and I will be listing a few more bikes..Clear title ,Original keys , tool pouch and tools...really a great find. Will ship overseas after fully paid for.On Mar-19-11 at 19:22:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Motorcycle Transportation Tools powered by Shipping Price Estimator Delivery Zipcode: uShip is the first and largest auction- style marketplace for shipping and transportation services. I have had a great responce and many questions. `First of all , I have not had the bike running. It kicks over with plenty of compression, no odd sounds. I will try to find the time this week to see if it will fire up .I will do a compression test [dry and wet]. This bike just needs to be fooled with, I just dont have the time with alot of other projects coming in. The tank inside looks good from the cap but I will check closely.. , very usable tank. I am sure it needs to be cleaned ouit. The paint in tank and sideplate is faded. But all seem to be good shape. Frame is great, Hardly any light surface rust. Rims look great..one little spot of surface rust that will probably work out. Pipes look great but I dont have the mufflers. Keys all work great. Engine looks real good, needs to be cleaned..that brown spot you see is old gas. Fender look good but they are not show quality.and will clean up some more...I did a quick cleaning on this bike...really quick..Most chrome is good driver quality and will work out better. Tail light brace has some surface rust close to inner edge..Alot of the question spots on chrome will come out after the parts are taken apart and worked with...I never use steel wool on chome, that will be up to the new owner...Clutch feels good but needs to be adjusted out for a better in gear roll ..I will work on that...Wiring and under the seat look great..Carbs look great. Cooling fins, cylinders and such look really good. This bike was stored in a dry house like garage.. Ask any question. On Mar-22-11 at 18:12:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Just got home and went over the bike..took the tank and sideplates off...side plates are inreally good shape...half turn holding screw works great on both..pop on and off like new. no cracks or deep scratches. Tank looks great undernieth..inside tank has really a light film of rust or dried gas..a few spots of light rust that rubs off pretty easy..will work with it some..got a picture. Frame under tank ,wiring and around battery look great. I was kicking it over several times and the kick would hang up every now and then..not sure what the problem..seem like its in the kickstarter its self. I put the ignition back to its stock place..The carb linkage is not moving...The front brake lever is not hooked up. I added a few pictures...thanks
