This auction is for a project vehicle which currently does not run. Currently there is a 1954 235 engine installed into the car which does statrt and idles. Engine was bought used and the head was removed for inspection. It still had honing marks and the valves looked good. I cleaned everything up and replaced the headgasket, pan gasket etc. and put the engine and trans back into the car, and place the front clip on only to find the automatic transmission will not engage when shifted into gear. The entire brake system has been replaced, including brake and gas lines. Also a new gas tank, and exhaust system installed. All floorboards were replaced, the rear quater panals will require further work. The right rear qtr. wheel well was replaced with an NOS part. Front fenders were replaced with better rust free fenders.The car has the grille and both front and rear bumpers, which will need straightening and chrome. I have all inside trim other that the original wood door flat panels. I have the original engine and transmission for anyone local that who buys it. All seats have been recovered, and all glass is good. Car has a good California title in my name (Non-Op status) As stated, this is a project that will require further work. Sold AS IS . On Mar-21-11 at 09:51:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I had questions on the rear quarter panels; The right rear has had the inner wheel well replaced with a new NOS inner wheel wheel. The outter fender is a NOS part that is going to require further fitment and fabrication to make it right. It is currently just mounted with sheet metal screws. The driverside has not been touched, but will need panel work around wheel opening. I have a panel for that. All floors have been replaced with EMS 18 gauge panels. A new trans cover will be needed. As stated this car is a project. and is priced as such.
