I purchased this Jeep last year from a man outside of Louisville, Ky. He informed me it had been owned between him and his friend for about 15 -20 years (they traded it back in forth for various 4 wheelers and various things over the years.) He informed me he had repaired some weak spots in the body with fiberglass and had it recently painted. He loved the Jeep, but his new girlfriend did not and she put it on craigslist and I found it and bought it the next day. I drove it home and have enjoyed it since. It has no major faults to my acknowledgement. It has a 304 V8, completely redone interior (Levi Strauss theme), with great floorpans and a 3 speed tranny. It runs strong, blows just a little smoke when you first crank it. It has a new 2 barrel carb. and the clutch is very strong. I have never been mudding in it, as I feel personally it would be ashame as nice as I think the Jeep is and was a condition I agreed to when I bought it from the older gentleman. It does have a nice set of 33 12.50 mud tires on it, w a full size spare as well. It has an after market cd player and speakers that sit right behind the drivers seat that hook up and sound pretty good. All in all it's a very solid Jeep with a good body (depending how particular you are....there are small bubbles in each front fender panel corners and there is some what of a body wave from the fiberglass in one back quarter, but this is me being completely honest and super particular) and runs great. Truly, the Jeep has few faults at all and is in amazing shape as I get compliments on it everywhere I've ever taken it. My loss, your gain. Last thing, odometer reads 201k but the man informed me that it was a junkyard replacement as the fuel gauge didn't work (and still doesn't now) and he claimed the Jeep had nowhere near that many miles, I don't know, I never ran a carfax because I fell in love the first time I saw it and bought it on the spot after looking all last summer for a Jeep.
