Vehicle Detail
A forward: If you would like to look at this truck, would like me to email you more photos(I have atleast 20 more) or have questions, please call 240-688-6764. Location is near Poolesville Maryland. I bought this truck about a year ago, a few months after I bought it I was in an accident which totaled it for me because of the repair costs. After I bought it I did a full brake job on it so the lines are all new poly-coated steel which is rust resistant and should last as long as the truck does, if repairs are made. The engine only has 60K on it because of an engine replacement under warranty, I have receipts to prove that and all other repairs done by the former owner. It also has a tow package on it. The accident tweaked the frame and bent for forward frame rails. The estimated repair cost done by a leading body repair shop was $6,000 and 90% chance of a good-as-before job. One other problem is a bolt that stripped when replacing the brake hose to the rear axle. Its a breather bolt for the axle apparently and needs to be tapped, sleeved and a new breather bolt put in with a hose to the frame. I'm not sure if this is mandatory, I drove it the whole time with a regular bolt jammed in there. It is being sold as is for parting out or repair. The problems are detailed below. Repairs: Bending work, Front frame rails main frame is tweaked front of the truck is bent to the left from the cab forward Front clip, Radiator Transmission oil cooler Headlights Fenders Hood Radiator frame Drivers door(not absolutely necessary, its only dented and would work fine with new fender on from what I can tell, perhaps a little use of a hammer would be needed) All the pieces taken off of the front end are in the bed. These are the only repairs I know of, but this also gives you a list of what is not useful for parts. The rest of the truck is in fine condition as the pictures will show. Here are the good parts left on the truck: Engine: 60k miles, runs fine and wasn't hurt by the crash Transmission: original, still runs fine, no sounds or problems reported 4x4: works like a charm Wheels: Good condition, just need a cleaning Tires: Brand new when I bought them with only a few months of light wear on them, still have very good tread Brake job: everything. Calipers, pads, drums, cylinders, lines, rotors, hoses. Only thing not replaced was the master cylinder. If you can repair the truck it would make a superb farm truck or work truck, especially if you can do the work yourself. It has a lot of life left in it. It is drivable, I drove it from the mechanics to where it sits now. So for shipping, a trailer, u-haul car trailer, or roll back will work. Executed or payed by you. Payment is expected within 15 days of auction end. I'm jealous if you get this truck repaired, its a solid drive with a 5.4L and 4x4. If I can afford a new vehicle I'm going to aim for this model or something close to it again. Thanks for looking!
