Hello and thank you for looking at this sale. ***The original color of this car is Silverstone Silver*** For sale is a one owner, heavily documented and original 1968 Corvette Coupe L-79 w/ factory AC. The car has 53k original miles. It was purchased new in mid August 1968 and driven until 1982 when it was stored. I purchased the car (did not title it) over a year ago to restore, but decided to restore my 69 instead. The car could use a restoration as seen. The engine DOES run. When I bought it, the engine was locked up. I recently took it to a Corvette specialist (been in business since the 60's). The carb, intake, exhaust and heads were removed and cleaned. Turns out all it needed was a valve job. It runs great but will need a new fuel line and brakes. I have the original dated shocks. Mechanical and Other: *** All Original to This Car***Original Block (beautiful textbook engine stamp), Original M-21 Transmission, Original 3:70 Rear, Original Heads and Valve Covers, Original Intake, Original Exhaust Manifolds (no pipes...they were bad), Original Starter, Original Alternator, Original Distributor. Original Rochester (7028219 DG, not on car but comes with), Original SMOG Pump and Diverter / Pulley, Pretty sure it is the Original Radiator, RC-15 Cap Original AC Compressor, which spins fine (beautiful label) Original Jack, Handle, Spring and Tray, Original T-Top Bags (still folded) ,NOT ORIGINAL MASTER CYLINDER but I have a nice 68 core if you want it. Original Spare Tire....and more... Documentation: *** ALL Original to THIS CAR*** Original Window Sticker, Original Bill of Sale, Original Protecto-Plate, Original Owners Manual and Sleeve, Original Wiper Instruction Tag, Original Radio Card, Original Trim Ring Card, Original Shim Bag, Original Keys (knockouts intact) Original Smog Brochure Interior: 100% Original and super nice. No tears or cracks in the vinyl or any of the dash parts. The carpet is bad and needs to be replaced in the front. The rear is ok. No breaks at all in the original steering wheel or 68 only E Brake console. Frame: Original Has a lot of surface rust as seen. It was inspected by 2 TOP NCRS Judges and found to be solid, just not the prettiest thing in the world. The (common problem) front bolt on crossmember underneath the radiator is bad. Again, this is bolt on and I found a erfect original 68 replacement that goes with the car. I was told by both judges they would expect it to come out beautifully once blasted and restored. Body: Nicks and chipped off paint everywhere. Dealer installed luggage rack. The white repaint by original owner looks horrible. Original Silverstone Silver can be seen in places. There is a gouge in the left rear quarter that does NOT go all the way through. A couple small issues (r/rear wheel well lip and hood surround in front). The doors shut nice and solidly. Weatherstrip is in great shape. Glass is all original except front windshield. Having said all this, I would restore this car fully, it needs it. It was inspected and appariased very recently by 2 TOP NCRS Judges and I am selling it below their appraised values. I will also entertain REASONABLE offers. PLEASE know what is involved in restoring this car before bidding. It can be a beautiful NCRS dream when done. I was told by one NCRS Judge that the documentation alone on this car adds approx 5K to the value when restored. This car will need to be transported. The brakes are shot and it needs a new fuel line. I am sellig this car 100% AS IS. I strongly encourage seriously interested parties to contact me so we can discuss the car at length on the phone and possibly set up an inspection. The car is in Delaware. A $500.00 Non-Refundable deposit is due within 24 hrs of the sale. Certified Funds or Cash upon pick-up in Delaware. Thanks and take care!
