Vehicle Detail
We are selling this Fairlady Roadster for a relative that has lost his storage and will not be able to complete his project for his daughter. This car comes with many extra pieces that the previous owner had aquired. The condition you see it in is exactly how it was purchased. We helped him unload the parts and tried to take the best possible pictures we could. This looks to be a very rare little car that would be a great project. We found quite a bit of information about this car at earlydatsun.com. It sure seems that most of the pieces and many extra are there. NO PROMISES. The Cylinder head was removed because of a possible problem with a valve or a head gasket I am guessing, we are not 100 percent sure, but it appears that everything is there. There is Oil poured on top of the cylinders as you will see in the photos, it has aquired some condensation ect, but appears to be doing it's job in protecting the cylinder walls. The body appears to be very solid. We did identify one area of minor rust in the left rear trunk well behind the wheel and one other minor area up on the front apron area on the right side under the hood, there should be photos of both, they were not big areas at all. The car appears to have originally been white as the photos show. The car rolls freely and has many extra pieces including an extra top and extra bumpers. The vehicle has been kept in inside storage for all of the years that we are aware of and is currently kept inside a warehouse at our family business until it is sold. We have a regular South Dakota Title, . We did clean off and verify the Vin off of the left front frame rail just ahead of the wheel, there is a picture of this. I am not sure if there is supposed to be another plate on the car or not, but we did show a photo of the frame VIN that matches the title. There is a hole in the left rocker panel you can see in the photo and also dents on the right front fender that would probably be repairable and the front lower metal valance is bent and somewhat twisted. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have. Transportation may be available locally within 100 miles, but otherwise we could only assist you with transportation ideas. One of the photos will be a scan of the title. We offered this car last week and it got very close to the reasonable reserve so we are taking some of the info about the car we learned from educated Datsun Ebayers and we are going to give it another shot. Oh yes, we did lower the reserve a bit after talking with our relative. While he is eager to sell it and move on, because he needs to, he also knows it has a fare value that has not been reached, so we are trying again. NOTICE there are two carberators under the hood, one that is still attached to linkage and set to the side and another that is lose laying next to it. The head is just as it was lifted off with the pushrods hanging down so they would not be misplaced. There are also two front bumpers and two rear bumpers, one front bumper (I think it is) has an Blue with Yellow letter California plate on it. (bumpers are not perfect, but quite decent with some surface rust that might clean up, twisted guards, ding or two) Happy bidding, I amazed by the interest in this car. I did not know they even existed til our family member asked me to help them sell it.
