Vehicle Detail

Up for sale: 1967 Datsun 1600 Roadster The restoration of this car was finished in 2004. Here is a list of just some of the new parts put on the car: Complete exterior weatherstripping and rubber kit, tires, shocks, complete brake system including lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, calipers, shoes & pads, complete interior kit consisting of all carpet, door panels, rear deck panel, seat covers, and dash pad, upper & lower radiator hose, fanbelt, wires, distributor cap, and ingnition components, exhaust header, short starter, and duel outlet resignator exhaust, new clutch system including slave cylinder, master cylinder and lines. All new parts were purchased from Rallye Enterpises and Dr. Datsun's Fairlady Products. These are just a few of the new parts purchased and I have receipts for many more...too many to list. I would not call this a "show car" restoration, but it is a really nice looking and fun driving car that gets compliments and comments from admirers everywhere I go in it. I purchased this car in 2002 from a retired foreign car mechanic and a Datsun Roadster collector. When he bought it from a guy in Atlanta in 1980, it had a blown engine. He ordered a new engine for it and had it shipped from Japan. After installing the new engine, he drove it very little and parked it in his shop with the rest of the collection. This will explain why it was completely rustfree and was an excellant candidate for restoration. Now for the bad, I have the complete top but have never put the new fabric on it. The car needs a new oil pan gasket and transmission pan gasket because over time they will leak a small amount of fluid on the garage floor. The car has been sitting in the garage under a car cover for a while, but cranks up and everything seems to work fine, but I would recommend a tune-up service before a long trip. There is too much about the car to list in this ad, so if you have any quesitions, please feel free to email me or if you live near and would like to inspect the car prior to bidding, it is located in Blairsville, GA. At the end of auction, a $500.00 nonrefundable deposit is due through Pay-Pal. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction ending by cash or cashiers check.
