ronrossmotors store 1977 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE CONVERT. - CALI.CAR. NO RESERVE WELCOME TO MY AUCTION. UP FOR SALE IS A CLASSIC 1997 BEETLE CONVERTIBLE THAT ORIGINATES IN CALIFORNIA. STARTED ITS LIFE IN SAN HOSE AND MIGRATED DOWN TO SAN DIEGO. WHAT COMES WITH THE CAR IS A FOLDER WITH SOME OF THE REPAIR HISTORY DATING BACK ABOUT TEN TO FIFTEEN YEARS. SOME OF THE MAJOR REPAIRS WOULD BE - IN 2006 - TWO CYLINDER HEADS AND PISTONS AND CYLINDERS AND ALL THE OTHER NECESSARY COMPONENTS TO REBUILD THE ENGINE AS WELL AS THE TUNING PARTS. DECEMBER OF 07 A NEW FUEL PUMP AND RELAY. IN 2008 A FLYWHEEL AND CLUTCH WAS REPLACED PLUS BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR. IN 2009 REAR WHEEL BEARINGS REPLACEMENT, BOTH SIDES AS WELL AS A BRAKE JOB WHICH INCLUDED A NEW BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND SWITCHES.CAR RIGHT NOW HAS NEAR NEW TIRES AND SUPPOSEDLY HAD A COMPLETE BRAKE JOB JUST DONE RECENTLY. THE CAR RUNS GREAT AND ALL THE FUNCTIONS ON THE CAR WORK WELL.THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED AT SOME TIME, PROBABLY A FEW YEARS AGO AND STILL HAS ITS SHEEN.THERE ARE SOME RUST SPOTS ON THE CAR BUT VERY MINIMAL AND MAINLY SURFACE. THE INTERIOR IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY A LITTLE VINYL CRACKING ON THE DRIVERS HEAD REST AND A SMALL PIECE OF CARPET MISSING UNDER THE DRIVERS PEDALS. THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS SOLID WITH NO RUST HOLES. THE FLOOR HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH TWO NEW METAL PANELS. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS CANVAS AND IN DECENT SHAPE AND ALSO COMPLEMENTED BY THE CANVAS BOOT COVER. ALL THE CHROME WORK TRIM IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION JUST A LITTLE OXIDATION ON ONE MIRROR.ALL THE WEATHER STRIPPING HAS GONE HARD AND WILL NEED REPLACING AT SOME POINT. ALL IN ALL A NICE ORIGINAL CLASSIC.CAR COMES WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS.
