Vehicle Detail

THE ULTIMATE SLEEPER!!! 1998 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG. Only 479 Units ever sold in the U.S. This is a very exclusive and high performance sedan. NOT A CLONE. AND the Xenon headlight option upgrade. Fresh AMG floormats, both front and rear. Car now MP3 compatible in addition to factory UPGRADED 6-CD player. Factory 8-speaker Bose sound system. Full size spare, jack and tools all there. AND FULL MANUALS! (including the quick fact flipbook to assist new owners!) Vehicle is fitted with 4.3L V8 AMG Hand-build and tuned Aluminum-alloy engine which features three valves and two spark plugs per cylinder with factory dual ram air!! Performance is 303bhp and 303ft-tq. 0-60 in 5.6s. Same engine put in the CL430 and E430, just kicked up over 25hp! Indeed, powerful engines are just one element of any Mercedes-AMG automobile. The C43 also comes with a sport-shifting option. And a winter driving setting, SPECIAL TWO TONE LEATHER SEATING WITH DUAL ZONE HEATED SEATS FOR DRIVER AND PASS., W/LUMBAR CONTROLS FOR BOTH AND Cupholder for all four passengers. And a nice sun/moonroof. So much more... Vehicle runs beautifully and as is customary on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the fit and finish have been well maintained as you can see by the pics, with the only areas of critique are that the center bulbs on the cluster odo reading have burned out, which is pretty common on these clusters, so the mileage reading is not properly visible, but as it's over ten years of age, it falls under the "exempt" category (mileage matches the AutoCheck report.) Also, the driver's side power seat works great with the exception of the up and down portion but fore and aft as well as the reclining portion and even the power headrest works great, and the passengers power seat has fore and aft only working and I believe that both are related to the switches which is a common and very easy fix. It's hands down, THE most comfortable and supportive seat my aching back has ever enjoyed. Makes rush hour commutes with the 8-speaker Bose system and large sunroof actually relaxing. I bought it because it had the same performance specs as my '94 968 Cabriolet, which I couldn't believe, and neither can my friends, whom all refer my ride as The Sleeper. I wanted the big trunk (and the quick getaways). I remember my Bright Silver Metallic, two-tone leather model in that Jet Li movie "Romeo Must Die". (Update, 3/11: I just got a new passenger power seat control switch which I'll include.) Car has been freshly serviced, freshened, filled with new synthetic Castrol oil change, tranny service including new solenoid valve plate, filter, gasket and a full change with fresh MB synthetic fluid, belts and hoses replaced, new wiper blade, all new brakes and a pair of rotors, and four new balanced performance tires with a 4-wheel alignment. These are the first AMG's completely manufactured from the elite team of 400 from start to finish at the AMG factory; and the last C-cars before the tragic C-class downsizing and thus the first V8 ever in a C-class; Mercedes' and AMG's homage to Carroll Shelby's love in putting the biggest V8 in the lightest vehicle and seeing what happens! These cars sold for over $53,000. The engines were completely hand-built. The quality shows. Check these... http://www.youtube.com/watchv=5rCCChh7hXw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rCCChh7hXw This is truly one of the "BEST BUYS" on the pre-owned LUXURY PERFORMANCE MOTORCAR market today. This LOADED beauty, HAS and WILL clearly stand the test of time. Listed with a 54 Autocheck score, it THIS BEAUTIFUL AMG BENZ HAS 163K PAMPERED MILES - That averages out to a little over 10k per year, well below the 15k per year national average. And for safety, well you've seen the commercial where I believe one did a 3 and a 1/2 with a twist and maintained it's structural integrity. I feel very safe behind the wheel. I can drive like I've got a C230 and when someone dumps it over 3 lanes without signaling, I can just touch the gas and be out of trouble before I'm in it. She drives straight and true, she shifts quietly and smoothly, she's been checked out at the local Mercedes dealership, and she's ready for the open road. And remember as gas prices continue to rise, you'll be getting 23-27 miles per gallon while having all that fun.
