I have up for sale today my 1968 Mercury Montego MX. I have had this car for about 2 years and have put a lot of work into it. I would say that it is about 65 - 70% completely restored. It has a 302 2bbl engine and a 3 speed c-6 tranny in her. She does start and will stay running. I have put the c-6 tranny in her in anticipation of putting in a 351W in but that has not happened yet. The rear end has 289 gears in it. And it has a B+M shifter. All she needs to be driven is strut rod bushings which I have and will include in the sale and front wheel cylinders and brake shoes put on. The previous owners made the interior themselves and does not look horrible but I was planning on redoing it professionally. It does have a cracked windshield but does not interfere with your view while driving. She has shaved door handles, fuel door, trunk lock, and cowl panel. Needs a new kit to make doors open by remote. Around $80 for kit. Has new tune up and fuel pump also. Speedometer does not work because when the new tranny went in the cable was to short by about an inch. There is no rust on this car but there is a little body damage on the drivers side, picture 1 shows this. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them for you.
