1979 Mercedes Benz 350 SE, These cars are rare in the U.S. because they were not availiable for sale in the U.S. This Classic Mercedes Runs and Drives. It shifts nicely through all the gears. It comes with all the original items, it is missing Nothing! More pictures availiable. It is in really good condition for its age. 111,000 miles. Pretty much RUST FREE. We have mild winters in Southern Oklahoma, and The condition of the body and Undercarrage is in great shape. Not leaking any fluids, maintains Proper Temperature. It has the original Becker Radio, First Aid Kit, Spare, Jack and Original Tools, and Service Record Manual, Euro Service Book with original productions data sheet and Original owners manual, (In the German language). Basically everything is working on the Benz, Lights, Brites, Radio, Radio automatic antenna, Blinkers, Brake lights, All Gages including Oil pressure Gage, Speedometer, Temp Gage, Fuel gage. Original Clock even works. Fan Heater and Defost works, Interior lights still come on Front and Back When you open a door. Power Windows all Working. The Engine sounds great due to low milage Engine, I Have inspected the Timing Chain and Valves and they look Perfect. The interior is still good, Back seat great, although front seat have some wear but they still look fairly good. This Mercedes has a V-8 W116 Engine, and is a 3.5 liter. It really sounds strong, has alot of power. I Think this V-8 has 220 HP I think this Mercedes was the first with Double wishbone suspention and ABS. And there are alot of W116 enthusiasts see their website at W116 org. There is alot of information about this car there. Wood trim interior in great Shape except for one around Shifter. I believe it has the original paint. It has some fading but good for 32 years! I have The Mercedes in a clean / detailed condition. The brake pads and rotors are in good shape, the Benz stops fine, But does require a little more foot pressure than it should. I am fairly confident that it will travel fine. But Please trailer it home, especially for distances greater than 80 miles. WHY? This Mercedes Sat for 1 year and 6 Months. When It arrived on Trailer it was not running, I have fixed Nearly everything on the Benz that needed fixing. New Fuel relay, New Fuel filter, replaced lines, replaced faulty Fuel cannister , Cleaned injectors, replaced some relays, Repaired and replaced some Vacuum lines, changed oil, inspected plugs, plug wires and placement, greased points, Replaced 1 Oil pressure line, Set timing, fixed Blinkers, checked and filled fluid levels, and inpected Brakes and Callipers, and rotors. And many other items. But I have not been driving it long. If you are careful with Mercedes from this point it should make it to 200,000 miles. This Mercedes is 32 YEARS OLD -it is a classic-this car is not quite ready to put your wife or 16 year old Daughter in. It will need to be driven carefully for a while. Now the Mercedes is ready to move on to a collector, or restorer. I have saved you Thousands. I worked on this Mercedes very carefully for 14 days. I been working on Jaguars, Bmw's and Mercedes for 20 years. The things that I have fixed will keep you from having Expensive repairs down the road. I would like to add that I hope this Classic Mercedes would Fall into a Good home with someone who will take care of it and keep it properly maintained. A great addition to any Mercedes Collection. Easily Restored. A few other things I could mention, Fan clutch working, Steering is Tight, All boots and Gaskets look good, most everthing under the car looks in good shape. Tires are not leaking air and have good tread. Spare has air and in good shape. Chrome is in good shape, No warning lights on, Battery keeping charge. Keeping good Temperature. Fuel delivery system great. Clean Fuel. Distributor, spark plug wires and spark plugs in good shape. Belts in good shape. Recently timed and tuned. Signed and Notorized title, but tag year expired. The Tag will run you about 130.00, I checked at tag agency. Have receipts, should save you the penaltys. The Headliner is in Perfect shape, The first aid kit insert has never been opened, still in plastic seal and still has German First aid book. CLIMATE CONTROLS & AIR CONDITIONING WORKING CORRECTLY: It appears that everything on the Airconditioning system is functioning, Compressor kicks in, Nice Cool air coming out. Should be charged before using alot. All 3 fan speeds working and Defrost setting (higher than 3) works, All vents and sliders working. All climate controls functioning well. Heater and Warm Defrost works as well on all three fan speeds and defrost setting. Duel Sliders for separate control settings both work. PLEASE: Do not bid on this Mercedes if you are not serious, ask all questions or call me before you BUY IT! This is not Craiglist, and once you place winning bid on the Car you OWN it.
