Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is "RUBY"my 1962 Cadillac Coupe De-ville. This car was originally a west coast car from California. It has been in my possession on the East Coast for 3 years and has been garage kept since I have owned it. A lot of custom stuff done to her, like the kustom ruby red flake roof. the car is set up with air bags, she has 10 switches front-back-side to side & pancake.there are TWO 5-gallon tanks and TWO compressors both are located in the trunk. Dual gauges inside the car to let you know what ride height your at. The stock motor runs like a champ! The motor is a 390 big block with a 600 CFM Edelbrock 4 barrel carb with an O.G. 1954 Cadillac bat wing air cleaner. Some things i had re-placed are the brakes, master cylinder, fuel pump, 80amp alternator, fuel pump and fuel filter. The transmisson is a re-built hydro-matic. new gaskets on the oil pan,new rear axle seals and bearings, re-built drive shift.all 4 white wall tires have low miles on them (like new). The frame has a rubber like coating on it from the factory that protects it from ever rusting out. New rear & front wheel cylinders/drums/brake hoses all done last year.all fluids were just replaced. Ruby has dual 24'' Smitty mufflers w/ glass pack and bellflower tips. Stock hubcaps but w/ the nipple-bullets one front. custom GOLD FLAKE rear end(one of a kind) a 1950's siren from a fire engine. The interior has been done up also with all new reupholstered red with white piping. Black carpet. Custom dash and rear deck lid has been redone and done right with batting and leppard print.head liner is the original red from 1962 and is in perfect condition. Custom shifter made from a golf club handle an a old suicide knob. The only issues in the body is that there is a small creased dent and small spots of surface rust behind the front drivers side wheel, see photo. The other is that the previous owner had fixed the rear window sill and used black primer to fix the surface rust, you can see in the pictures. The Cadillac was in LOWSIDE magazine in spring of 2010. Go on to www.lowsidesyn.com and check it out. If you want to know anything else about RUBY just e-mail me and ill get back to you. If you would need the car to be shipped out i will be more then happy to help you with that but it will be on the buyer to make all final arrangements. The car is also being listed locally so i have the right to cancel the auction at anytime.
