Here we have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Automatic 4x4 with appx.125,000 miles that im helping a friend sell. This vehicle has been a daily driver for them for a long time and has been a good vehicle up until recently. A couple of weeks ago the upper part of the engine started making a ticking type of noise and a local mechanic told them it might be a cam bearing but wasn't sure until he took it apart. It might not be a big deal to fix but it needs some other things as well and they felt it might be time move to the next vehicle because there not good mechanically with cars. Someone with experience might be able to fix it cheap and get a good vehicle very reasonable. The car run and drives fine except for the noise. Please read the entire listing and ask questions and i'll do my best to answer them for you. Feel free also to call me and ask questions as well. I'll also meet with anyone wanting to see the vehicle in person which i strongly suggest. Im posting quite a few pictures if you need a picture of anything special let me know. The odometer light is out and can't see the actual miles. Im having a friend check it and will post the miles from his computer when avaliable. Were guessing the milege based on the last inspection which was last sept. The engine is the 4.0 liter v6. All the fluid have been changed recently as well as the oil change. A new battery was placed in the car less than 6 months ago. There was an issue with the radiator fan and they had a fan switch put in on a relay, so its setup on a toggle switch, i would count on putting a relay in at some time. The mechanic who looked at the vehicle also said it will need an o2 sensor and a couple of tie rods in the front end. The tires have ok tread on them we figure there good for another 6-12 months. The tranny is fine and shifts perfectly and the interior looks pretty clean. There aren't any dents on the body that i can see but there are a few rust spots that are typical for these jeeps.
