2004 HRC ( HONDA RACING CORPORATION ) NSR50R GRAND PRIX RACING MOTORCYCLE The HRC NSR50R Grand Prix racing motorcycle was imported from Japan into the United States one year only (2004), in extremely limited numbers, and is not street legal. The original MSPR was $3,599.00. It is NOT an HMC (Honda Motor Corporation) consumer product (like the CBR1000RR, for example). Specifically, this is not a Honda Motor Corporation NSR50. This is an HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) factory Grand Prix racing motorcycle. It has a liquid-cooled engine with Capacitive Discharge electronic ignition. It has a 6-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch. It is equipped with adjustable (front and rear) suspension. The rear suspension is equipped with a nitrogen-charged Showa remote reservoir triple-adjustable (preload, compression, & rebound) factory racing shock absorber. It has wide alloy wheels, tubeless racing tires, and powerful hydraulic disc brakes. It is not a toy. It was not made in China. Its intended purpose is to identify and develop racing talent at an early age, to facilitate their advancement into professional Grand Prix racing. It is not intended for your kid to play with in the cul-de-sac, nor is it intended for you and your beer buddies to do burn-offs in the driveway with. In the U.S., they are most often used for organized track days and sanctioned road racing conducted on go-kart tracks. We purchased this particular example from our local Honda Dealer in 2005. It was then track prepped by an expert-licensed motorcycle road racer with decades of factory-trained professional mechanical repair experience, using stainless steel aircraft safety wire, thread-locking compound, Motul 600F degree DOT 5.1 synthetic brake fluid, Red-Line Water Wetter, and Red-Line synthetic lubricants. The sole modification is the addition of a foam pod air filter to protect the engine. My wife, an experienced track rider (who is not quite 4’11” tall), then did two track days on it. It has not been raced since we purchased it. It has not been down in any way, shape, or form since we purchased it. It has been kept as Grand Prix racing art ever since. The original tires are still at nearly 100% tread. It comes with the original HRC factory racing manual, including set-up information to assist in developing your racing program. Condition: It is not a Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance award winner. It is a Grand Prix racing motorcycle, and is used. As such, it has the authentic patina of a Grand Prix racing motorcycle, including several minor scratches, as well as minor vibration cracks in the bodywork at two of the fairing mounts (they are small enough that I am not able to capture a photograph that accurately depicts them). Warranty: This is a Grand Prix racing motorcycle. It was sold “as is” when new, and carries the same warranty as when it was new: none. Return Policy: No returns. Payment: Buyer is responsible for full payment within 72 hours of the close of the auction. Delivery / Shipping: I can deliver to a central location on Maui. Buyer is responsible for arranging any other shipping. I used DHX to ship a full-sized motorcycle to Maui from the west coast in the past. It only cost about $350, and the bike arrived in perfect condition, without a scratch. Buyer is responsible for all expenses related to crating materials and shipping. I will donate my labor time to construct the shipping crate, buyer will pay for the materials. It cost about $150 in materials to crate my full-sized motorcycle last time.
