Vehicle Detail

I bought this bike a year ago in Carbondale PA. I rode it a little to get used to it, put new Metzler tires on it, and rode about 3,000 miles in two weeks last July. CO, UT, ID, MT, WY... The bike ran good, although it used some oil. When I got home to change the oil, I noticed bearing material in the drained waste oil. I took the bike to Foothills BMW in Lakewood, CO, who diagnosed the condition as follows: Found Rod Bearings to be Deteriorating, Recommend Replacement of All Rod Bearings. Main Bearings and Crank Appear to be in Acceptable Condition at this time. Replace Damaged Rod Bearings and Verify Oil Pressure Once Bearings are Replaced. Pinion Seal is Leaking and Requires Replacement. Recommend that Motorcycle is Not Operated. Has been assembled with known Damaged Components. Customer Declines Engine Reairs and Elects to take Machine As-Is. So thats the straight story. Repair and Ride or part it out. You make the call... Here's the good stuff: ---Low Miles, ---Nearly new Metzler tires, ---Seargent Seat, ---Wilbur Racing Shocks Front and Rear- Remote Resevoir and Adjustment on Rear, ---Remus exhaust, ---Gerbing Heated Clothing Outlet, ---Garmin 2730 GPS, ---ABS Brakes-front and rear independent, ---Hot Yellow, Grey and Black Checkerboard paint. On Feb-28-11 at 11:53:59 PST, seller added the following information: Please Read- Well, its just a few days from the auction close, and we are getting close to the reserve, so it looks like the bike is going to sell. I need to travel for a week or so, and it may impact pick up of the bike for the winning bidder. I will be traveling fom March 2 until March 12. You can pick up the bike any time on or after March 13. I hope this is not too inconvenient for bidders. On Mar-01-11 at 07:18:25 PST, seller added the following information: I just added pics of the GARMIN GPS unit. You can also see a braket that comes up between the Speedo and Tach. I have never used this, but assume it is for mounting of a Radar Detector.
