For sale is a completely functional and well maintained Flat Bed/Roll Off Tow Truck - 1983 VIN - 1GBHC34M9DV128369 This is the perfect tow truck for the person who is looking to get into salvage and/or scrap business. This was my first truck, and I have made enough money to actually buy myself a newer model truck, therefore, this one is now for sale. The truck works as intended. The engine is a Chevy 350 with four barrel carb, that can be re-fitted with a throttle body fuel injection system if you so wish. The truck runs excellent in it's current carbureated configuration. The interior, emergency lights, bed, hydralics are all in working condition. The tires have excellent tread on them and the tow truck is Exgtremely Clean and well kept. This truck was my signature to my business, and it has been kept clean and polished. The dually and front wheels are high gloss chrome and look incredible. The winch cable was replaced last year, as I replace them every three years whether it needs to be or not. The tow truck has dual gas tanks, and holds about 90 gallons of fuel between the two. The PTO works as is should as does all the hydralic levers and controls, there is also a spare PTO that comes with the truck, as I always keep spares of the most important components, you don't want to have down time, especially if this is your business. What the truck needs: Remember, I am selling this exceptional Tow Truck AS IS. I have not or will not mis-represent anything about this vehicle, but you will need to be an educated buyer, who knows what they are looking for. I have described all the positive as well as the items needed for repair, but it is up to the buyer to understand this is a USED tow truck, which is working hard every day. Currently the tow truck will need to have the back brakes replaced, as it is nearing that time, the cost for parts and to do it yourself (I do all my own repair on this truck) is about 225 dollars for all the parts. Other than tthat there are no mechanical or aesthetic problems with the Tow Truck, all lights work, hydralics, and moving mechanical components.
