1978 FORD F-250 CUSTOM 4X4 XLT REGULAR CAB STYLESIDE. THIS TRUCK RUNS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS, AND TURNS HEADS EVERY WHERE IT GOES, IT HAS WON TROPHYS AND AWARDS. THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN REDONE AND IS ABOUT 95% NEW, AND I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER COLOR SCHEME LIKE THIS ONE, THE SEAT WAS DONE BY THE FAMOUS "GUVEN CUSTOMS" . IT COST ME A BUNDLE, BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY AS THE PICTURES SHOW, (AND IT LOOKS BETTER IN PERSON). THE HEAD LINER MATCHES THE DOOR PANELS AND SEAT, WITH THE RED STRIPE GOING THROUGH THE MOLDING. THE CARPET IS NEW, IT HAS AN AM/FM CASSETTE STEREO RADIO WITH BRAND NEW 140 WATT SONY DOOR SPEAKERS. HAS FLASHING LED LIGHTS UNDER THE 'F-250' EMBLEMS ON THE SIDE OF THE CAB. AWESOME DETAIL AT THE CAR/TRUCK SHOWS! THERE IS AND WAS NO RUST ON THE BODY OF THIS TRUCK, AND MAYBE A LITTLE SURFACE RUST UNDERNEATH THAT COULD PROBABLY BE WASHED AWAY WITH NAVAL JELLY AND A HOSE. CAB CORNERS, DOOR CORNERS, BED CORNERS, FRAME MOUNTS, CAB MOUNTS, CAB FLOOR, BED FLOOR, TAIL GATE, INNER FENDERS, WHEEL WELL OPENINGS, FENDER LIPS, DOOR JAMS ARE RUST FREE AND NEAR PERFECT. THE PAINT AS YOU CAN SEE IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION; BUT, THERE ARE A FEW DINGS AND LITTLE RIPPLES HERE AND THERE FROM PARKING LOTS, BUT NO ONE REALLY SEEMS TO NOTICE THEM. THE BED AND INNER SIDE OF THE TAILGATE HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY SPRAYED WITH MONSTERLINER. THE UNDER CARRIDGE WAS TO BE UNDERCOATED, BUT I DECIDED AGAINST IT SO THE PERSON BUYING THIS TRUCK CAN ACTUALLY SEE HOW NICE THE UNDERSIDE OF ALL THIS SHEET METAL REALLY IS. THE TRANS WAS REBUILT, NOT THAT IS WAS BAD, I JUST WANTED HEAVY DUTY CLUTCHES AND IT BEEFED UP A LITTLE. I HAVE A FRIEND WHO OWNS A TRANS SHOP, I COULDN'T PASS UP THE DEAL AND AGAIN IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS PERFECT, HAS WARN H.D. LOCKING HUBS. I THOUGHT THIS TRUCK HAD A 351-M IN IT BUT EVERYONE AT THE PARTS STORES ARE TELLING ME ACCORDING TO THE VIN. # IT HAS A 400 WHICH RUNS GREAT. IT HAS AN EDELBROCK MANIFOLD AND EDELBROCK 4 BARREL CARB. WITH ELECTRIC CHOKE THAT WORKS PERFECT. HAS AN UPGRADED 70 AMP ALTENATOR, AUXILLARY BATTERY TRAY. NEW TIE ROD ENDS AND ADJUSTING SLEEVE. RECENT COMPLETE ALIGNMENT. MAINTAINENCE ETC. HAS CHROME VALVE COVERS AND A CHROME TRI-FLOW AIR CLEANER. IT ALSO HAS DUAL EXHAUST ON IT THAT SOUNDS GREAT. THIS TRUCK CAME WITH DUAL GAS TANKS, I REMOVED THE FRONT ONE CUZ I WAS GONNA HAVE EXHAUST STACKS INSTALLED, BUT DIDN'T. I STILL HAVE THE TANK AND THE MOUNTS AND THE SHIELD, WHICH ARE IN GREAT CONDITION AND ONLY NEED TO BE REINSTALLED; THEY WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK. ALL THE LIGHTING WORKS PERFECT; TURN SIGNALS, HEADLIGHTS, BACK UP LIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS, DASH LIGHTS, CAB LIGHTS, GLOVE BOX LIGHT, DOME LIGHT. THE TRUCK HAS 38.5 X 16.5 GUMBO MONSTER MUDDERS ON IT, I HAVE ONE MORE MATCHING TIRE (NO RIM) FOR A SPARE, THAT WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK. ALSO, THE LIFT ON THIS TRUCK IS A FACTORY LIFT, ( I WAS INFORMED BY A FORD TECH) BACK IN 78-79 IT WAS AN OPTION OFFERED (BAJA SOMETHIN' OR ANOTHER). THIS TRUCK DRIVES STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW EVEN WITH THE BIG TIRES SHE DOESN'T WANDER ALL OVER THE STREET. IT IS REALLY A TIGHT TRUCK! IT HAS POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES,(DUAL PISTON FRONT CALIPERS) NEW BRAKE LINES ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK, (INCLUDING THE RUBBER ONE) ALL IN GREAT SHAPE. NEWER HEAVY DUTY RADIATOR, NEW RADIATOR SHROUD, HEAT THAT WORKS GREAT, AND I WOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK ANYWHERE. I DID THIS TRUCK UP FOR MY KID, AND HE DECIDED TO DO BOOT CAMP AND WON'T BE BACK FOR AWHILE, SO WE DECIDED TO LET THIS ONE GO AND WHEN HE GETS BACK HOME AND IS BACK TO A NORMAL LIFE WE WILL FIND ANOTHER ONE AND DO IT UP TOGETHER. THE RESERVE IS WAY LOWER THEN WHAT IS INVESTED! THIS TRUCK SPENT , MOST OF IT'S LIFE IN BOISE IDAHO.
