listing for a close friend. owned by A 73 OLD, selling due to health. he is the 2nd owner, the car is an arkansas orig., come magnolia ar. purhased by a cooper tire mananger in eldorado(who was the orig. owner). My friend purchased from him... Have orig. bill of sale and other documentation, owners manual also.... CAR has 129116 orig. miles on car...paint, engine and trans and interior have 5000 miles on them. car was repainted in late 90's over the orig paint. motor and trans were rebuilt (not replaced) in mid 1990's, motor and trans have matching numbers. The rebuild on motor and trans have approx. 5000 miles... the car has been garaged all its life. It starts, drives, and shifts as suppost to. Have most all reciepts for all work performed. 292 v-8 , wide block... Has dealer installed under dash a/c, has factory wheel covers. On Feb-04-11 at 10:40:15 PST, seller added the following information: Dear osko1972, Not a question, just some help from an Edsel owner with a VIN decoder. Your car is very correct based on the VIN. The C in front of the VIN indicates this is a 292 "Y" block engine and the gold paint on the air cleaner and valve covers supports this. Additionally, the Trim Code "50" indicates the original interior was Silver vinyl with Black vinyl accents & Black surf cloth inserts (like I'm seeing in the interior pictures). Finally, the Color Code FE indicates President Red primary with Snow White secondary. Your car has a 2-speed "Mile-o-Matic" trans and a 3.10:1 axle, was made at the Louisvile Plant (VIN Code "U") on April 30, 1859 (Date code D30). A very original car and, if I had room for it no one would out bid me because it would make a nice companion to my 1959 Corsair Convertible.
