I am offering a great unrestored 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible complete as you see it in my pictures . The car was purchased by me some weeks ago as a Antique estate buyer from the original families estate . Here is what I can tell you about the car as I know it . This car was originally sold in Pa. by the Point Marion Ford dealership in March 1955 . The car was driven until the owner died in 1975 . The car was then willed to his brother and parked until he died 10 years later. Then the wife of the brother kept it in the garage until sold some weeks ago to me. I have much documentation that comes with this car . This is a great car to restore with the need of a off frame proper restoration. Needs body work ,engine rebuild , seats recovering, carpet, wiring , brakes, rechrome chrome about everything you might expect for a car that has been sitting for the last 35 years. ..Its got its original 292 V-8 engine that will turn by hand so its not locked up and this engine has not been started . This car has its matching drive train also. The engine is 100% factory right down to the bolts etc. hoses and looks untouched for the 35 years its been sitting . The car is a great project car . I have been thinking hard about restoring it myself so buy it before I change my mind about selling it. These are the coolest cars in my eyes . No hardtop but does have its convertible top frame in good shape just needs recovering .
