For sale is a nice 79 Ford F100 2 wheel drive pickup truck. This truck has been a South Georgia vehicle all its life and is in very nice shape. It was a 2 owner truck when I bought it. The mileage is correct. It is equipped with a 302 V8, automatic transmission, with power steering, power brakes and working air conditioning. The original owner must have been a farmer because the only rust on this truck was the floor of the box by the front behind the cab and at the rear at the tailgate. He must have carried fertilizer in the box or somehing because I had to purchase a new box front panel and some box floor sections and welded them in. The rest of the box floor had surface rust which I ground on and sanded, then coated with a spray in/ roll on bedliner material. The truck runs good and shifts good. It does smoke a little when first started up, and it has some oil leakage which appears to be from the oil pan gasket. I put on a new muffler and tailpipe, but it sounds like it needs an exhaust mainfold gasket. It has new radiator, but needs a dash cover as shown in the pictures. The original AM radio does not work. The interior is in really nice shape, with the original seat having no rips or hardly any wear. It must have had an aftermarket seat cover on it thru the years because it is quite nice. The door panels are ok, the passenger side shows some cracking but doesn't really need to be replaced. I replaced the tailgate with a really nice one I found on eBay because the old one had a pretty good dent in it and couldn't easily be repaired. I also found some great bodyside mouldings I put on. It has been repainted it's original color, in base coat with clear coat and as you can see in the pictures I also put a stripe on it. This is a real nice truck and as I always do, if the successful bidder upon inspecting it or having it inspected here locally, if they are not totally pleased with it, they are under no obligation to go thru with the purchase and thier deposit will be refunded. I welcome prospective bidders to test drive and inspect prior to bidding. When I was driving it today I noticed the alternator light stayed on, so I will put a new one on before the auction closes if it turns out that it needs one. Shipping costs are for the buyers account, and the truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel the auction early if it is sold, unless the buy it now is exercised.
