Vehicle Detail

Up for no reserve auction; 1990 C2 Cab tiptronic. This car is black on black. The engine starts and runs great with no smoke. It does have a small oil leak that will leave a few, quarter sized, drops of oil on the floor over night. The transmission is strong and shifts good. It did go into limp home mode once and then reset itself and has run fine since. The suspension seems fine, no leakng shocks, groans, or excesive body roll or bounce. The steering is nice and precise. The brakes are in good working order, no pulling or binding. The brake pedal is a little stiff, but 964s are like that. The tires are at about 60%. The paint is shiny. It does have some cosmetic flaws though. There is a 3" scratch on the rear fender(pics). There is a spot in the same area, about 1/2". There is also some various and sundry rock chips scattered through out the car. There is one door ding for each side with no paint damage. The rear tail lights are faded, and there is a crack(pic) on the center piece. The wheels are in ok shape with no curb rash, they need a polish to be nice. The front seats are in good shape. The rear seats are hard. The carpet is in ok shape with a spot or two here and there. The dash is buckled a little on the right side (pics). The rest looks pretty good. The top is new and in working order. The top switch requires a great deal on pressure to work, but it does work. The car is in about 80% condition right now. It needs a going through, to be nice. With no major mechainicals, this would be a great car for a hobbyest to tinker with, and fix up without any professional help, and only minor parts needed. I would hate to say the car needs some TLC, but it ovbviously was just driven as daily transportation. Not an enthusist car. I am letting it go cheap to give the winner some room for fixing it up. Low retail is 18k and high is 28k.
