1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne SWB Big Block Factory Air Conditioning! This truck has been in my possession for the past nine years and I can honestly say that I am sad to see it go but I have another love and no room to store them both. The engine is a big block 454 that was rebuilt 3 years ago and currently has about a thousand miles on it. It has a strong rumble packing a hydraulic roller camshaft, 9.5:1 compression, "Air Gap" intake and a Holley carburetor. Every thing flows through a nice clean 2.5" exhaust system with flowmaster mufflers. The motor is backed by a TH400 automatic transmission with a two thousand RPM stall converter. The rear end is setup with 3:73 gears and of coarse a POSI. The chassis has been modified and now packs a camaro front subframe. It literally drives like a car. It is setup nice and low and handles great with front and rear sway bars. 4-wheel disc brakes work well. The original gas tank was removed from inside the cab; the truck now has a hidden fuel cell located under the box. The original factory air conditioning is all in place but needs charged, even has the belt on. I have never used it but behind the license plate is a hidden receiver hitch just in case you need to pull the drag boat to the lake. The exterior of this truck is very nice. The body is laser straight, and the paint looks great, but it does has some minor imperfections from normal use. What can I say it has been driven and enjoyed! The tailgate trim banner is in good condition but could stand to have the wood grain insert replaced. The wheels and tires are basically new with only about 200 miles on them. 20x8 Coys Wheels up front with 255/35/20 Hankooks and 20x10 Coys Wheels in the back with 275/35/20 Hankook tires. The interior is nice, as you can see it has a nice late model bench seat that fits perfect and compliments everything very well. Has a tilt steering column with a nice billet steering wheel, to match the shift, tilt and turn levers. Sound system consists of a Panasonic CD player backed by an amp, two Phoenix Gold subwoofers and a pair of Phoenix Gold 6x9 speakers. Sounds Great. This is a nice pickup that I have enjoyed for a long time and I know that someone else will be able to do the same. All the trim on the truck is used original parts that show well. The interior is nice with little wear on the door panels, and the center dash a/c vent needs replaced. The truck did not undergo a frame off restoration but the undercarraige was painted and is in great condition with some wear from being driven. This truck is not a fresh restore but deserves every compliment it gets. It is a nice well built puickup that someone will be very proud to own.
