1996 Honda Civic EX for PARTS or REPAIR. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION! Less than 150,000 miles on engine. Honda 1.6 litre VTEC Engine should have a lot of life left. The car has always been extrremely reliable. Not once in 15 years, has this engine not started! Body is in decent condition for its age. No major body damage. Dent on passenger door in area under driver side mirror just above the body side molding (see picture). Some paint scaped off (see pictures) on rear and front bumper. Typical scatches and chips on the front end and hood. Biggest issue is some damage around sunroof where gasket is worn (see pictures) and surrounding roof area showing some signs of rust and corrosion. Although the sunroof roof does not currently leak, it has in the past due sunroof drain clogging so there is no guarantee that it won't in the future. The past leaks have left a headliner stain (maybe 2"x6" on the drivers side immediately above the door. I also recently snapped the trunk release latch during one of our recent snow/ice storms. I kept pulling it, thinking the roof latch had not released. I have to use a plier to pull the release to open the hood.. I'm sure that's simple fix. Drivers side lamp lens needs to be polished (see picture). The vehicle is currently not at all driveable due to a transmission or clutch/hydrolic component failure? There is no clutch pedal travel at all! Cannot shift into any gear. Car will need to be towed away. Everything else seems works ok but you will need tires for sure. Brakes are also due to be replaced and oil is also due to be changed. The car has always been extremely reliable. Engine oil has been always been changed every 3,000 -3,750 miles. Radio may need to be replaced. It works but you have to fiddle with the volume knob to adjust. It is a six speaker stereo system. Has separate cassette player in the console but no cd player. Interior is in really excellent condition with the exception of the front drivers mat which you will need to replace. The vehicle has a rear spoiler, sunroof wind deflector and mud guards at all for wheels. Because it is not driveable and I am really uncertain of the transmission/clutch issue and also due to its age I am selling this as a parts car. I believe that I have covered just about everything I can think of but I can't guarantee that I have not left something out. Even though I am seeling this for parts, if you are mechanically inclined, I'm rather certain that you can easily get this car back on the road again.
