Vehicle Detail
1953 Chevrolet 210 Four Door (2100 Series). Up for auction is a running, driving, 1953 Chevrolet 210 four door model. The car starts, runs, and stops as it should. This car has the original 235, six cylinder, engine and the original PowerGlide transmission. The engine runs good, holds good oil pressure, and does not over heat. The car has sat for many years in a dry Colorado climate. It is almost rust free. The original floors are in very good condition. The trunk still has the original trunk mat, the original spare, and the original jack. After sitting for many, I have the car running off of a small gas tank. I replaced the fuel pump to get it running and I think the gas tank should be cleaned before driving the car on a regular basis. In runs good and should be easy to get fully operational and on the road. I have take numerous pictures of the car and it is in over all good shape. This is a "No Reserve Auction." If you bid $900.00 and no one else bids higher, you will own the car. I have a clear Colorado title in hand. The car was rescued from a young man attempting to turn it into a "rat-rod." Most of the exterior chrome trim was removed and some of the trim holes were filled with bondo. Before any major steps were taken, he ran out of money and sold the car. The bumper and grille are just set in place and are not bolted down. They will align once bolted in place. The interior door panels were removed as well as the chrome trim pieces. I saved the door panels and the original interior window trim pieces. The window trim parts are original and in good condition. The interior door panels are good, but not perfect. Some of the exterior trim pieces have been rescued, but some of them were damaged in the removal process. Other than missing some of the exterior trim pieces, the car is almost complete. It comes with the interior door handles and window cranks, as well as the rear bumper. These parts were removed and will be stored in the trunk. To clearly point out the problems, I have taken pictures of the negative sections of the car. The only real body damage are the small dents in the roof. The front bumper is dinged up and there are dents in the grill. The front windshield has a crack. Over all the car should be an easy, cosmetic restoration. The original color of the car was a combination of light green on the lower body and a dark green on the roof and interior trim. The young man sprayed primer over most of the car and didn't do a good job or masking. Fortunately, it is a rust free car and will a little work will be on the road. If you have any questions, please email them to me and I will respond as quickly as possible. I have a clear title and I need to sell the car. If you have less than 10 positive feedbacks in your Ebay feedback score, please give me a call before bidding. My home phone number is (801) 745-0599.
