A piece of BMW history, this was the year the M roadster was introduced. This is a significant car and has been a pleasure to own and drive. This roadster is the M series so of course it has all options, including the power top option and two-tone black/red interior. Car is in excellent mechanical condition and went through a post-100k mile inspection and refresh this fall as we thought we were keeping it for good. However, my wife has changed jobs and needed an SUV for storage, so we are selling it now. Maintenance updates included: new Pirelli P Zero Nero tires, new clutch (entire assembly and plates), new clutch master and slave cylinders, new heavy duty battery, new belts and a tune up. Overall condition of this garage kept car is very good and shows only normal wear for a car of this age. Runs perfect. In an effort to be as detailed as possible, here is a summary of the car's condition: -Tires=excellent, Pirelli P Zero Nero tires put on in the fall -Body=excellent -Paint=Very Good, only shows normal wear -Interior=Very Good, shows the normal wear on the driver's seat from getting in and out of the vehicle and the seat belt loops that attach to the seats are gone, both are normal issues with these cars at this age. There are new OEM original floor mats and new OEM shift knob as these both showed wear. -Mechanical=Excellent, as mentioned above the car was recently inspected and refreshed. Runs perfect. Occasionally the check engine light will come on for an SAS (secondary air system) code. Our BMW shop advised us to ignore it for two reasons: First, this is a common error code for BMW's of this year range that does not affect the function of the vehicle and would occur again in a short time again after fixing it because the problem is inherent to the design of the system, i.e. it is a recurring error. Second, we were contemplating upgrading the exhaust system one day which would replace that system anyway. -Overall=excellent Please let us know if you have any questions.
