Vehicle Detail
I have an owner's manual ( I don't know if it is the original manual.) This car is almost completely renovated...just a few interior cosmetic items, a little exterior TLC, and a little underbody repair. The interior looks really good but there are a few tears on the seat covers along the seams near the seat belt buckles. The back side passenger panels are not clipped in all the way. A new rebuilt single port engine was put in about a year and a half ago(shipped from California). The engine only has a few thousand miles on it. A new front suspension was installed also. I put a manual transmission in the car at the same time(it was auto stick but the bearings went bad.) The car is shifting a little stiff now, and occasionally I have to turn the engine off to put it into reverse. It might just need some gear oil. The speedometer is new rebuilt and reads around 300 miles. I had some passenger floor board patch work done but it might eventually need a new passenger floor board (There is a crack about 12 inches long near the left side of the floor board where it meets the center hub), I haven't had time to replace the carpeting in the car. I had a drivers side floor board put in two years ago along with some other under body work in the front of the car. The underbody is very solid, but there is a rust hole in the body just below where the rear passenger fender bolts on(see the two pics same hole just one coming in from in front of the rear passenger tire and then a close up of it...the next pic is some shabby body puddy work thrown on where the opening to where the hole came into the car. Above the rear vent tubing) I have the old carpeting if you'd like to have it(it's in fair condition). It also comes with four 'beetle bug' Pep Boys style floor mats. There are two small dents: one on the hood and one on the rear trunk lid, and there is some bubbling of the paint above the rear drivers side fender. There is a little surface rust around the front driver's side turn signal and a littl bit around the headlights, and the driver's side turn signal. The exterior looks fairly the same as when purchased and it looks really nice. It was given an extremely expensive paint job before I purchased the vehicle. I put a new front bumper and I believe a new rear bumper also. I just installed two new chrome exhaust extensions. The horn just recently stopped working. It is inspected only a few months old and it's street legal. It has a pop up sunroof that pops out completely if you prefer to drive without it, but be careful it drips a little in heavy rain if it's not set exactly right when you put it back on. It comes with four additional Firestone tires in brand new looking condition on four beautiful silvery rims with the little black VW caps. They were used only for car shows. You also get a free front new fender. The custom rims that are on the car now are in pretty good condition too. It gets about 35 miles to the gallon. The heat works really good on the passenger side only. I have nearly all the records of any purchases and repairs made to the car. So?...What do you think?? Are you ready to finish up these projects and enjoy a sweet ride? I am taking a big loss on the car, but I hope to find someone who is looking for a VW to enjoy! All sales final.
