Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a numbers matching, 56,000 original mile 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 4spd "SURVIVOR". I have owned this car since 1999 and have decided to test the waters on selling it. I will start with it is an ORIGINAL PAINT F8 green car, original stripe, original grill and headlight bezels, original vinyl roof, original trunk mat, original carpet, original seats, original wood wheel, original jack which has never been out of the car, original shifter ball as well as handle. This vehicle is a 10 option car which is very rare for a Swinger, the majority of options are usually found on the GTS cars. I will start with the options, D2X Bench seat vinyl, A46 Decor group drip rail moulding and wheel lip moulding, B41 disc brake front, D21 4spd, D56 3.55 and D91 Differential sure grip, J55 undercoating and hood insulation pad, L31 Fender mounted turn signals, S77 Power steering, S81 Steering wheel sport type,V1F Vinyl roof green, V8W Bumblebee stipe white, T62 D70x14 WSW Polyester tire. I just recently put on two and a half inch TTI exhaust from the original manifolds back to the tips. I purchased this car in 1999 from youngstown Ohio with only 44,000 original miles. The car was purchased new from Sam Brown Dodge Salem Ohio and was an original Ohio car until I purchased it. I had the original numbers matching engine rebuilt last year. There was nothing wrong with the engine, however the rest of the car was so clean and the engine was dirty and leaking so it was decided to freshen it up. While freshening it up , I converted it to electronic ignition and placed the original #s matching dual point distributer away for safe keeping. The box for the distributer was cleverly hidden under the battery tray and the wiring was routed through the original harness. You would still think it retains the original points thats how good of a job was done. The car has its correct #s carburetor, all original glass and even still retains its original upper radiator hose. It has a correct date coded fuel filter, battery, plug wires, radiator cap etc. I have two build sheets, ORIGINAL window sticker as well as a copy of the original title. I also have other paper work pertaining to the engine rebuild as well as other various things. I had the original bumpers, original outside door handles and rear tail light bezels rechromed, the reason for this is the paint was so nice and the chrome was just not up to par with the rest of the car. The car has a sun tac mounted on the steering column as well as an oil pressure gauge which was mounted in the 70s so I left it, they are both mint ! The original owner was very meticulous because the tac has a piece of rubber around the steering shaft so it would not scratch it. I have a California Car cover as well as NOS side marker lenses front and back as well as NOS grill lenses and Original 1969 Dodge Service Manuel that go with the car. The original lenses on the car are mint, however I purchased these Items just in case something happened. I have been to every major car show in the U.S.A and had this car at MOPARS in the park in Minnesota in 2006 or 2007 and took first place in the survivor class out of approximately 40 cars. While attending the show I was offered $35,000 for the car and refused. I wasn't ready to let go of it, however other interests are making my decision to move forward on selling it. Everyone knows the status of "SURVIVOR" cars and I wouldn't be affraid to say this is probably one of the top 3 cleanest SURVIVOR Dart Swinger 340 4spds in existence. Im sure I left alot of things out, however I will let the pictures speak for the car. Any questions feel free to call me 920-655-0976 RonOn Feb-07-11 at 15:28:51 PST, seller added the following information: I had a couple requests from some people inquiring about the fender tag, so I snapped a couple of pictures. As you can see they didn't turn out the best. I also want everyone who is bidding on the car to know this isn't a concourse restored car and is 42 years old, so if you have any questions or issues concerning the car, I encourage you to call me before bidding. Thank you
