Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1995 Range Rover Classic, long wheel base, County addition, with a 4.2 engine. For it’s age and mileage, it is in above average shape. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country. The original air suspension has been replaced with coil springs and Bilsten shocks. As you can see, it also sports an ARB winch bumper (without a winch) and a pair of Hella fog lights. The rear light guards’ where starting to get some surface rust, so I had them powder coated. The exterior is in good shape with a small bit of surface rust by the right rear tail light (see pictures), and the paint on the roof is faded. I think it would buff out with some elbow grease. The rest of the Rover shines up pretty good. There are some small nicks and scratches, but overall pretty good for a 16 year old car. The sagging headliner that seems to plague these rovers was replaced last year, and the floor mats were replaced with Lloyds mats from Rovers North. Overall the interior is in good shape. Look at the pictures and you’ll see that the seats are “tired” looking with a tear in the seam on the drivers seat bottom. I included a picture of the Rover in last year’s big snow (it has the old bumper in that picture). We found out why Rover has such a good name in the 4 wheel drive community. This thing will truly go where others fear to tread! We are selling this rover so that we can concentrate time and money on our Series 2A restoration project. Now’s a good time to buy Rovers North stock! Mechanically, this Rover is in good condition. We’ve always maintained her as a daily driver. Here is a list of things that I know of that could use attention: the cruise control does not work, the valve covers leak oil, you have to pull on the door handle on the right rear door twice to open it, the service engine light is on and the ABS light comes on from time to time (the rover dealer said it is a loose sensor wire). Here is a list of things that have been replaced or repaired in the last 2 years. CV Joints Ignition Switch (it now has 2 keys for the door locks and 2 keys for the ignition. The remote key fob still unlocks the doors) Starter Power steering pump Exhaust (including catalytic converters) ABS pump Brakes Cooling system to include radiator, water pump, heater core, and all hoses and belts. Replace 2 window regulators. Steering drop arm and ball joints. Michelin tires all the way around. If you are looking at this car, you probably know what it is and what to expect. If you don’t, do your research. This is a 16 year old vehicle. If you come to get this car, and you don’t think I have represented it fairly, I’ll give you your deposit back, minus the listing fees. If you want to fly in to pick up the Rover, I’ll pick you up from the Roanoke or Lynchburg, Virginia airports. If you want to ship it, I’ll make it available to the shipper on their schedual, and help with loading.
