Private owner selling a very nice condition 2004 Mercedes SLK 320 Roadster Special Edition. The Special Edition has some upgrades to the regular SLK320 and comes in the Designo Silver finish. I purchased the car in January 2008 and am the second owner. The car has 63,207 miles at the time of this listing. It is used on a daily basis and is expected to put on just under 150 miles per week. The car has 4 tires that were put on at 59,008 miles so just about 4,000 miles since purchase. I have been extremely satisfied with this car and love the appearance and performance of it. So why am I getting rid of it? I have two young girls and this car is not practical now at their age. As you will see from the pictures, I have just purchased a minivan and I will be converting to my wife's older sedan. The car does have a lien on it, but this car loan will be satisfied prior to completing this auction. To show how nice this car is, I took pictures in a lived in state. This car hasn't been prettied up just to sell, it just looks good. The car has not been waxed. The leather has not been cleaned/conditioned. In fact the carpet/seats haven't even been vacuumed. This is what the car will look like when you enjoy it instead of just when it gets purchased. There is some loose dirt on the carpet which is evident. Passenger Seat: No tears, no stains. Some loose dirt in the folds. Driver Door Driver Floor: Carpet is in very good condition. There is some loose dirt on the carpet. Driver Seat: No tears, no stains. Dash and Center Console To illustrate how good the car really is, I will try to point out the flaws. The car is used and although it runs very well and looks very good, it is not perfect. The hydraulics on the trunk no longer work so the trunk does not stay open on its own. This does not affect the convertible top which operates as expected, but just the raising and lowering of the trunk. I don't use the trunk much so it doesn't affect me much. There are a couple small paint chips that I noticed. This is a small chip above the front driver tire. This is a small chip above the gas tank fill. Again, they are small and blend well, I wasn't able to even get a good picture. The front driver's side bumper has marks. The entire car is low to the ground and so the bumper is hard to see when standing next to it. Mats are a little worn, but they have done their job in protecting the carpet which is very good. There is one dent. This is on the passenger side just behind the side mirror. It is about 1 inch in diameter. There are marks on the center console. There are some of these same marks on the glove box. Both door handles have similar marks. When in the car, they are all much less prevalent than the pictures. I do not mean to discount the imperfections. This car isn't perfect. It is used. I do not intend to tell people a used car is like new as most other postings will. I intend to detail what is wrong so that you can be satisfied knowing that the other areas are as good as they appear. Again, I am a private seller. With that said, there may be details a dealer will find that a private owner may not, but a dealer will also not have experienced the car to know other aspects. I have tried to properly disclose the car, but there, of course, may be things I missed. I welcome any questions.
