1977 Honda CB550K Four, all original CB 550K-Four (K2) · Clean title in-hand, and in my name. · Current California registration through Aug 2011 · All stock and original · Everything works – electric start, lights, indicators, turn signal buzzer, dash lights, etc. · 16,155 miles · 2 original keys · Engine and frame numbers match · Original blue California license plate · 3rd owner · In very good condition, one dent in the tank (see photo), and a few of the usual scratches for a bike of this age. Chrome is in very good shape. Paint is good too. Seat is perfect. · Had been in garage storage since 1991. Recently pulled out of storage to put back on the road. Runs, but not very well – needs to be gone through; tune-up, carbs balanced, etc. It seems to run lean – maybe float adjustment or an air leak in the intake. · The pipes have a few holes (not very big) in the bottom of the muffler section, which is typical for these bikes. The holes can’t be seen unless you look under the pipes, but they can be heard. New parts and work performed since acquired: · New tires and tubes with less than 1 mile o Cheng Shin Barracuda 100/90-19 front tire o Cheng Shin Barracuda 120/90-18 rear tire · New RK 530H chain · New spark plugs- NGK 7912 (D7EA) · Rebuilt front brake master cylinder (OEM Honda Parts) · Rebuilt front brake caliper (OEM Honda Parts) · Carbs cleaned · New gaskets - carb float bowls · Recent battery (and stored on a Battery Tender since purchased) · Recent oil and filter service Forced to sell due to other projects and needed garage space. I have started it several times and driven it down the block and back, but it runs poorly and is hard to start. It seems to be running lean, especially on the left cylinders, and the idle is a little high. The carbs need to be gone through again and adjusted. I just haven't had the time required to spend on it. It does shift through all the gears smoothly and the engine does not smoke. Thanks.
