1986 BMW 735I WITH 168K MILES -This car has been sitting in our storage lot for about one year. -Today we jump started it and got it running and test drove it. -Problems noticed on the test drive: 1) Exhaust leak 2) Rattle under car when accelerating 3) Right rear window needs a switch 4) Brakes are rusty and scraping from sitting so long 5) Left front door interior handle is broken 6) Tires have dry cracks but deep tread 7) Heat fan doesn't work Overall- This car clearly needs some TLC! The paint is faded but there is no rust on the body or floor boards. On the test drive, the engine performed well and the transmission shifted well. It steers and brakes fine (note scraping sound from rusty brakes). We are selling the car absolutely as-is / where is with no warranty. We have done our best to describe this car with the information gathered on our test drive. Please be prepared for it to need more than just what we have listed. We highly recommend a complete mechanical going over this car before putting it on the road since it has been sitting for so long.
