3 DAY AUCTION AT NO RESERVE - SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER A original 1967 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Hardtop 283 V8 #'s Matching. A true California Malibu that was built & spent it's entire life in Los Angeles, with it's original Black plates. Sitting since 1984 in the original owner's son backyard. Owner passed away, left it to his son & son was starting the process of restoring it. Lost intrest & parked it in the back of his home for many years. Factory options included powerglide, buckets/console, rear antenna, tinted glass & deluxe shoulder harness. Factory color combination is Marina Blue / Black vinyl top / Medium Bright Blue Interior. The correct number's matching 283 V8 2bbl is still in place, Suffix "DJ". Powerglide automatic transmission & smog emissions with power steering. Has not been driven since the mid 80's. The 2bbl rochester was clean up and pour some gas into it. Turned over but will need work to get it into running shape ( brakes/fuel lines/ tank/etc. ). Looks to be stock underneath the hood. Does not look to be ever repainted either. Original Rochester, intake, exhaust manifolds & emissions. It is missine the original air cleaner but a Complete original engine. The body remains the original Marina Blue but the owner's son started to prime the car. As he was getting it ready for paint I assume. Removed a few of the emblems & few mouldings. Jambs are mostly original paint. Factory body panels & undercarriage. Clean original floors & frame stucture. Original quarthers including trunk pan. The body does have a few rust spots as well as surface rust. The part of the trunk lip & trunk pan does have rust, will need to be replaced. Keep in mind, it's a California car. The interior is original with the exception of the front bench seat. Looks as the bucket seats & console was replaced with a straight green bench. The automatic was carried over to the colum. I assume the owner wanted a bench seat ? I do have a pair of GM buckets to go along with the sale ( not sure what year from, 60's I suppose) The correct bracket for the console is still on the tunnel as well as the cut out. The interior is missing the radio, ash try, glove box and few other trim. Overall, this is a full project for someone. A original California panel Chevelle to work with. Great car to restore back to 100% original. Being sold as a project car that will need to be restored inside & out. it does roll & can be pushed.
