Vehicle Detail
This is a 27 year collection of 1970 Montego and Cyclone parts. The collection is too extensive to list. The collection includes 4 cars, each of which are pictured. The collection includes enough stuff to complete 3 full builds. One of the cars is for parts. Breakdown is: Car #1 is an all original 1970 Mercury Montego w/ approx 65K original miles. It is a 302 2V auto. It is running and driving. I was planning to use it to re-construct an original 1970 Cyclone Spoiler I bought back in 1983. I have everything to build the car. New suspension and brakes. New rebuilt 466CJ. Rebuilt RUG-A Toploader 4 spd, CJ drive shaft, and N case 9" 31 spline 3.50 T/lok. Ram air, valve covers, radiator, shroud, fan blade, rev limiter... It's all there. Complete interior w/ mint dash w/ 140 speedo and guage pack. Buckets, door panels, shifter w/ hump and original T-handle. 5 slot rallies (10). Gun site grille. Rear spoiler. Staggered shock plates (3). The list goes on and on... addl' pictures can be viewed here: http://s209.photobucket.com/albums/bb230/tattarat/70%20Spoiler/ Car #2 is a nice 1970 Ranchero. I have a complete Cyclone front clip and doors for it to be made into a "Clonechero"... It has a turn key 351C 4V 4 spd 3.25 drive line w/ radiator and shroud. I have everything to install factory disc brakes and A/C. I have a complete Cyclone interior w/ buckets, 140 speedo, and near mint dash w/ guage pack. I also have everything to build a 4 spd console except the base ( which is reproduced ). I even have the Spoiler emblem for the dash. Neat piece I have for this car is an original Gaylord locking bed cap. This is a really cool car... I have several spares and a rechromed back bumper. addl' pictures can be viewed here: http://s209.photobucket.com/albums/bb230/tattarat/Clonechero/ Car #3 is a 1970 Montego that was made into a fake Cyclone Spoiler. It is a 302 2V auto car. Will run with minor work. In fact, if it sells, I might be willing to get it running. I do not have a title for it. I bought it as a parts car to use to build car #4 below. addl' pictures can be viewed here: http://s209.photobucket.com/albums/bb230/tattarat/71%20Spoiler/ Car #4 is a 1971 Torino GT Convertible. I was going to use it to make a 1970 Cyclone Spoiler similar to Rob Day's 71... The car above will provide everything needed. It would be a 351C 2V auto as -is. The car does not run and would need rebuilt. There is no front clip on the car now ( sold it ). This is the most rust free Torino convt that I have found in the years that I was looking to build a Clonevertible. Car #3 has a complete Cyclone interior w/ buckets, console door panels, and a 140 speedo guage pack dash that is cracked but very repairable. addl' pictures can be viewed here: http://s209.photobucket.com/albums/bb230/tattarat/71%20Torino%20GT%20convt/ That is the car list. The parts list is impossible to print. There is a stack of Montego and Cyclone hoods. Doors and fenders... Glass... bumpers... etc etc. There is everything unique to the Cyclone to build 3 cars out of this collection... then there is enough left over stuff to re-sell and make back a large portion of the initial investment. I have way much more time and money in all of this than the asking price. I will not sell individual pieces. This is a no reserve all-or-nothing auction. I will consider and entertain interesting car trades. There is no warranties on any of the cars. Only one is running. This is a major set of projects / not for the beginner. $500.00 non refundable deposit is due in 7 days and balance due before or upon delivery. Transporting of all of the cars and parts is the responsibility of the winning bidder. I will assist w/ loading. You'll need a big truck! Email any questions. Do not bid if you have zero feedback w/o contacting me first or your bid will be deleted. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I've had several inquiries about selling parts, I will repeat NO I will not sell any parts! If this does not sell as a collection, I will need the parts to build the cars... which is what I will do if they do not sell. Thank you... I've also had a lot of inquiries about what all is included. I cannot list it all. It is really that much stuff. The majority of the stuff is used. There are a few NOS parts, but very few. This collection was started in 1983 and I can tell you, some of these boxes have not been opened since 1986, so I don't really even know everything that is in here. I will break down some of the stuff that I do know. Car #1 above: I bought this car to re-body a real 1970 Cyclone Spoiler that I bought in 1983. I have everything I could salvage off of the Spoiler including all VIN tags, and a clear title. I have a built balanced and blue printed 466CJ for the car. It is a 1973 Lincoln 460 bored .030 w/ all of the CJ goodies out of the original engine, which was blown when I bought the car. I am the 3rd owner and the odometer reads 78K original miles. The engine has 429 CJ rods w/ Chevy RAT bolts, TRW pistons, clevite 77 main bearings, and a high vol oil pump. The crank is .010 over and cross drilled. The flywheel and harmonic balancer are the originals. Heads are D00E 429CJ w/ case hardened valve seats and titanium valves w/ a roller rocker assy and huge pushrods w/ custom made guide plates. The camshaft is a custom grind using specs provided to my machinist by Jim Yates. The intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, valve covers, fan blade, fan shroud, and radiator are all the originals to the Spoiler. I have a NOS H-pipe and all OEM exhaust hangers. The carb is a 429CJ Quadrajet for an automatic car ( actually this auction includes 3 of them ). I have all of the fuel lines, sending unit ( have 3 of them ) and a blueprinted fuel pump unique to the CJ. Intake is the spread bore dual plane OEM. All of the ram air is included w/ a new seal and new vacuum motor. The bell housing, scatter shield, flywheel, and all clutch linkage and pedals are included. A brand new in the box McLeod clutch is included. The original trans is newly rebuilt and includes the original Hurst shifter w/ T- handle, floor hump, and both upper and lower boots. CJ drive shaft is included. Rear is the original 3.50:1 nodular 9" 31 spline T/lok. All original front suspension is included and completely restored. Original front springs and heavy duty sway bar are included. Body-wise, the only original panels left are the OEM trunk lid w/ spoiler and prop rod, and the original sport mirrors. I have all of the OEM wiring... and the guage dash is MINT! All seats and door panels are included. The original rim blow is included, but needs restored. I have a NOS rim blow element. I have the OEM gunsite grille. This one car alone is worth in parts close to what I am asking for this whole thing. There are also 2 running 302 2V C4 set ups included ( 65K and 89K mile ), a running and ready to go 351C 4V 4 spd engine and trans set up w/ pedals and all clutch linkage. There is also a 351C 2V C4 set up in the 71 convt that will need rebuilt. The 71 351C turns over. The convertible top works fine. There are 9 hoods, both Montego and Cyclone. Enough to make several. They can be re-paneled like a door skin. There are enough gunsite grilles and hide-away headlights for at least 2 of the cars and a non hideaway setup that is mint for the original Spoiler. I have all of the wheel opening moldings for all 3 cars. I have several hood, fender ext. and 1/4 moldings. The one thing I have but all are damaged, is trunk lid moldings. They are repairable, and I believe I have 3... but only need 2. Interior-wise, I have everything to do all 3 cars as Spoilers, w/ buckets, and guage dashes. I have consoles for 2. The original Spoiler did not have a console. I have Marti reports for a couple of the cars as well. There are 10 5-slot rally wheels. I have a rechromed rear bumper for the Spoiler and one for the Ranchero. I have 2 good cores as well. I have a NOS front bumper for the Spoiler. It is not mint. I have at least 4 other core front bumpers. I have at least 3 complete tail light set ups w/ the honeycombs. It goes on and on... This is just a quick off the top of my head... There is no way I can detail all of it. It's nuts is what it is LOL! I guess I am finally coming to my senses :O Actually... I have moved this stuff 3 times... Just built a big garage and now I have to move because of work. I figure.. If I still haven't built the car, I give up and am hoping to not have to move it all again. Thanks for looking. Hope this helps. Good luck. Some extras
