You are bidding on a 1970 AMC AMX Go-pack car equipped with a 360 4 spd. The Go-pack includes Ram Air, 140 MPH Speedo, tach, twin grip rear and a space saver spare. All is included except for the space saver spare. The rear is a 3.73 twin grip. The car is also equipped with PS, PDB, A/C, AM/FM Radio, and a rear window defroster. The original color was Glen Green Metallic. Only 836 360 4 spd cars were produced in 1970. Only 56 had a rear window defroster. The pictures look orange but the car is really red. This car is almost completely rust free, and has been garaged for many years. There is minor rust in the rear floor boards ( panels are available ) and the worst is on the passenger side. Photos show the only 2 spots underneath. There are minor bubbles on the lower 1/4 panels, and a couple minor bubbles around the back window. The trunk floor is mint, as are all of the body panels. The car was obviously repainted red at some point. The paint is presentable but not the greatest. Certainly not up to my standards, but the rust free nature of the car is what caught my attention. It is difficult to find an AMX in this good of condition in this price range. The upholstery has been nicely redone. Needs some minor cleanup from paint over spray, but is very presentable. The bumpers, side markers, and all emblems are new. All glass is good. The car runs strong, but will need a clutch and flywheel. It was like this when I bought it and I adjusted it better than it was... but it is still going to need replaced. It runs fine for loading on a carrier or a trailer and has been present at several local cruise nights in the last few months of last summer. I have found since I bought the car that it has some electrical whoas. I have purchased a complete harness for under the hood, but it turned out not to be the right one for this car. It is possibly useable ( it has 3 wire parking lights where this car has 2 wire parking lights ). The harness is mint and can also probably serve as a template and be re-sold. Harnesses for both under hood and under dash are both available. The wiring is most likely repairable. I have not spent any time on this car and did not buy it to be a project. It is turning into one, so I am going to advertise it instead. The nice part is that AMX's have come into their own in recent years. They are worth more, and there are now a lot of parts available that did not used to be. The 360 has an edelbrock intake and carb. I do not have the originals, though I do have the original ram air assy w/ a good stove pipe. I have everything for the A/C. I have the original Magnum 500 rims w/ trim rings. I have a near mint back up light lens. I have the original steering wheel. I have the rocker panel moldings. The left one is good, but the right one is rough... might be restorable. It is a great project that you can drive and enjoy while you work on it. I hate to sell this car, but I have too many projects. I just bought this car last year. I have not gotten to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. It was quite the attention getter and the only AMX around at the local cruise in.
