Car is located in Birmingham, Alabama. *** Please note that this car was just up for auction last week, and within 24 hours of auction end, the high bidder sends me a 1st email saying that he is arranging pickup and payment by a local friend, and then hours later sends me a 2nd email saying that he cannot complete the transaction due to health reasons from a doctor's visit that day. Therefore, if you're going to bid on this car, make sure you are ready to buy, as I'm making room for another auto that can accomodate growing family, and selling this car will help keep my marriage intact :) *** Mentionables & Condition: · Current owner 5 years. · One of the best attributes of this car is that it is driven, not sitting, and the benefits that go with that. Driven almost daily for 5 years until these pictures were taken on 1/16/11. Car will fire right up and take you where you need to go. · Fresh tires, good alignment. · Chain Tensioner Upgrade with oil line upgrades, so not going to leak oil all over your garage floor. · Car is maintained at Eurasian in downtown Birmingham Alabama & service history included. Interested party can pay for Pre-Purchase Inspection if wanted. · Matching numbers 1983 SC sunroof coupe (original motor, trans) and I will provide Porsche's cert of authenticity. · Odometer stopped at 138072 in 2008. The service history shows when the clock stopped, and before that I was averaging 8,000 mi per year for 2 years. Therefore, car has estimated 150,000 miles on it. I have it listed in this auction at 155K for piece of mind. · A/C is there and connected, but I don’t use it ever and new owner would have to sort that out if a/c blowing cold is a must for summer. · Body o Nicely aged paint which I believe was repainted years back. Paint done in original color of guards red. The trim, rubbers, etc, are original. o Typical 911 rock chips on front bumper that extend to very tiny ones on front of hood. A couple inch Paint rub on front driver's lower valence, rear drivers wheelwell has some slight imperfections on the edges, slight imperfections on driver's side lower valence, and a quarter-sized dent on the car right above the rear signal lens on passenger side. o Radio antenna is missing. radio works. o Overall, body is straight and presentable, nice and preserved. See pictures for detail. · Interior o Note that the pics show driver's side door pocket missing, although it will be included. (A couple screws, and it will be like it was never was missing). o Headliner is torn away from the sunroof back to the rear window, so that will be up to new owner to replace if a new headliner is a must. o Front Seats are electric from later Carrera. There are a couple of small rips in seat material. o Steering wheel is rare and period correct Porsche Design Momo steering wheel. I have a Porsche emblem centercap for it, if that is preferred. Terms of Sale Car has also become available for sale locally at the time of this auction. The end of this auction will determine the final owner, unless auction is ended early due to local sale. 20% of final price due within 48hrs of auction end.
